AstraHR review
A focused HR platform covering core people operations and performance management.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
AstraHR is a cloud HR platform for growing organisations that want core people operations and performance management in one web-based system. It combines employee records, contracts, reporting lines, documents, signature tracking, onboarding task lists, absence management, time tracking, payroll preparation and compensation changes. Employee and manager self-service covers time-off requests, documents, goals and reviews. Small and mid-market teams are the clearest fit, particularly those seeking a focused HR system rather than a broad platform ecosystem.
Pricing is split between Core and Complete. Core costs €5 per user per month when billed monthly, or €50 per user per year when billed annually. It includes records and contracts, documents and signature tracking, pre- and onboarding, absence management, time tracking and payroll preparation. Complete costs €9 per user per month monthly, or €90 per user per year annually. It adds performance reviews and cycles, goals and OKRs, 1:1s, meetings and feedback, compensation management, plus Astra AI, insights and coaching. Pricing requires a minimum of 10 employees, and a 14-day free trial is available.
AstraHR’s breadth is concentrated around day-to-day HR administration and people development. The platform supports AI answers, insights and coaching based on HR data, while EU hosting and GDPR support provide a defined regional and compliance posture. Its web-only deployment and lack of integrations make it less suitable for teams that need extensive connections across an existing business software stack. The product is described as being in early access, so organisations prioritising a wider ecosystem or a more mature platform should consider alternatives. Choose AstraHR for straightforward HR coverage with optional performance and AI capabilities; avoid it if integrations and multi-platform access are central requirements.
