AlterSend is an open-source file transfer application for people who want to send files directly between devices without creating an account or storing files in the cloud. QR-code and short-code pairing simplify device connections, while recipients can download shared files through a browser link without installing the application. End-to-end encryption applies to transfers, and folder support extends the service beyond individual files.
The free plan covers peer-to-peer transfers, requires no account, and keeps direct transfers unlimited. It does not include cloud storage. AlterSend Pro Monthly and AlterSend Pro Yearly are optional subscriptions that raise limits for transfers routed through relay servers and provide priority for relayed transfers.
