Our verdict on Akliz
Akliz sells plans rather than single servers, at $5 per GB of RAM. The Adventurer tier, 2 GB for $10 a month, is the one its pricing page recommends for Vintage Story; 3 GB costs $15, and the $20 Hero tier gives 4 GB with two servers running at once and four stored. Every tier includes unrestricted player counts, twice-daily backups, automatic restarts and a seven-day money-back guarantee.
The Command Center panel handles backups, console access, restarts and world files in one place, and stored servers let you keep a vanilla world and a modded one on the same plan without losing either. Akliz runs everything from its own purpose-built data center in the Boston area, with redundant power, generators and cooling, and it installs its own hardware. Refunds within the first seven days are requested through live chat, as the FAQ explains.
That single location is the main limitation: players in Europe, Asia or Australia will see higher ping. DDoS protection is not described on Akliz's pages, and mods are uploaded rather than installed from ModDB in a click. At $10 for 2 GB, the entry price is also higher than per-GB rivals. For North American groups who value frequent backups and multi-server flexibility, it is a steady choice.
