Afterword is a cloud-based platform for funeral homes and crematories, aimed at small and mid-market teams, including independent and multi-location firms. It combines case management, vital-information collection, document and statement generation, electronic signatures, payment processing, online funeral planning, merchandise presentation, task management and chain-of-custody tracking. Families can enter information, plan services online, view updates through a portal and make payments. Pre-need management, service scheduling and online arrangements are supported.
Published monthly starting prices are organized by operational need. Essential Case Management costs $79 and includes vitals collection, statements of goods and services, custom forms, basic reporting, plus Tukios and ASD integrations. Task Lists is $99, Chain of Custody is $149, and Online Planner is $179 with burial and cremation workflows, educational videos, customizable packages and advanced integrations. Personalized Case Management is $325 and adds custom vitals collection, unlimited eSignatures, payment processing, reporting and backups. Prices are based on 200 cases per year, Afterword says it creates custom plans, and the Essential plan includes a seven-day trial without a credit card.
