A broad workforce analytics platform with a useful free plan for very small teams.

ActivTrak is a workforce analytics and work intelligence platform for organizations managing hybrid, remote and office-based teams. It collects digital activity data through desktop and ChromeOS agents, then presents insights into productivity, workload, schedules, technology use and engagement. Its scope also includes application and website usage analysis, compliance controls, dashboards, reports, and capacity and headcount planning. The free plan supports up to three employees, making ActivTrak a practical starting point for small teams that need basic activity visibility without immediately moving to a paid tier.
The plan structure expands from visibility to workforce management. Free includes basic activity visibility and 30 days of data history. Work Activity Tracking adds automatic time tracking, productivity trends, real-time visibility and schedule adherence. Workforce Management adds workload insights, while Productivity Optimization adds productivity optimization, workload balance, capacity and headcount planning, and customizable dashboards and reports. ActivTrak also offers a 14-day free trial, while paid plans use annual contracts and quote-based purchasing.
Platform coverage is broad, with web, Windows, macOS, Chrome extension and API support. Integrations include Microsoft Entra ID, SCIM, Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, ADP Workforce Now, Dayforce HCM, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau and Google Looker Studio. Privacy controls, role-based access and audit logs support administrative governance, while compliance alarms and website blocking add control features. Choose ActivTrak if you need activity analytics that can extend into workload, scheduling and capacity planning. Teams needing more than three employees will need to evaluate a paid plan, and organizations seeking only a narrowly focused time tracker may find its wider workforce scope unnecessary.
