Our verdict on Acoustica

Acoustica is a desktop digital audio editor for recording, editing, mixing, mastering, and restoration. It suits musicians, podcasters, audio engineers, and post-production professionals who want these workflows in one application rather than a separate tool for each stage. Clip-based and multitrack editing cover everyday production, while spectral editing, noise reduction, repair tools, and remix stem separation address restoration and detailed audio work. It runs on Windows and macOS and can also support compatible DAW workflows through plug-ins and ARA2 integration.

The edition structure makes the product easier to assess by workflow. Acoustica Standard costs $149 one time and includes spectral editing, multitrack editing, in-app restoration, mixing and mastering tools, and a standalone app. Premium costs $299 one time, adds DAW plug-in versions, up to 7.1.2 channel surround, Extract:Dialogue 2, Drum Production Suite, and the full version of DeNoise 3. Ultimate costs $449 one time and extends surround support to 9.1.6, while adding DeVerberate 3, DeFilter, Verberate Immersive 2, and 6 months of Soundly Pro. A 30-day trial provides time to evaluate the desktop workflow before purchase.

Its strongest fit is for users who need restoration alongside editing, mixing, mastering, and batch conversion. Integration with Pro Tools, Cubase, Nuendo, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, REAPER, FL Studio, Adobe Audition, Adobe Premiere, and DaVinci Resolve supports varied production and post-production setups. Third-party VST, VST3, AAX, and Audio Unit plug-ins add flexibility, while audio CD project creation covers a specific delivery need. Standard is the practical entry point for standalone work; Premium or Ultimate makes more sense when DAW plug-ins, expanded surround formats, or the additional restoration suites are central to the workflow. Users seeking a free tool or a non-desktop editor should look elsewhere.
