The ₹29,999 starting price applies to the 6GB/128GB model; the 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB versions cost more. In reviewer Hisan Kidwai’s two-week experience, everyday use was smooth and the battery stood out, but that is an individual account—not a standardized battery-life test.

How good is the display and everyday performance?
Reviewer Hisan Kidwai praised the display as a strong point, describing it as a 120Hz 12-bit AMOLED panel. The 1.5K resolution and high refresh-rate ceiling make the screen a notable part of the phone’s value proposition, while the reviewer reported smooth performance in everyday use on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4. These are review observations, not a guarantee that every app or game will perform identically. Kidwai’s review, dated 21 September 2026, says he used the phone daily for two weeks as a secondary device and played games.
How long does the POCO X8 battery last?
The India model is reported with a 9,000mAh battery, but capacity alone does not establish runtime. In his review, Kidwai said he could go two days without worrying about finding a charger and called the battery the phone’s standout feature. That is his personal experience, not a controlled endurance result or a promise of two-day use for every owner. India Today reports 9,000mAh for India and 8,340mAh globally; 91mobiles’ global launch coverage also reports 8,340mAh. The larger figure should therefore not be assumed for every regional POCO X8. See India Today’s specifications coverage and 91mobiles’ global launch report.

The phone is also reported to support 67W charging. That can help replenish a large battery, but the available review information does not provide a controlled charging-time measurement. Smartprix reports that a 67W charger is included in the India package; check the regional retail listing if in-box accessories matter to your purchase.

Where the cameras and software fall short
Low-light photography
Kidwai found low-light photos adequate rather than impressive. That makes the X8 a less convincing choice if night scenes or dim indoor shots are a priority, despite the reported 50MP main camera and optical stabilization.
Video recording
The review lists video capture as limited to 1080p at 30 frames per second. Buyers who regularly record higher-resolution or higher-frame-rate video should treat that as a meaningful compromise.

HyperOS clutter
The reviewer also objected to preinstalled software and bloatware in HyperOS. The phone is reported to run HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, but the review’s concern is the software experience, not a claim that the handset cannot be used smoothly.

Smartprix reports launch prices of ₹29,999 for the POCO X8 and ₹35,999 for the X8 Power, alongside the following battery and charging figures. The X8 price here is its base launch price; the current dated X8 configuration prices are listed above. Refresh both models’ prices before comparing, and do not treat battery capacity as a runtime comparison.

Smartprix’s X8 and X8 Power comparison supports these launch-price and battery/charging figures. The available comparison does not establish an independent runtime result or provide enough verified detail here to rank processor performance, cameras, size, or software support between the models. Smartprix reports a four-year Android update and six-year security-patch commitment for both; confirm the current official terms before relying on that promise when choosing a phone for long-term use.
Quick Recap
Who should buy the POCO X8?
- Consider it if you want a large battery, a 6.83-inch high-refresh-rate display, and smooth reported everyday performance, and the base India configuration fits your budget.
- Look elsewhere if low-light camera quality, video beyond 1080p/30fps, or a less cluttered software experience is central to your decision.
- Compare the X8 Power if the higher reported launch price is acceptable and its larger battery and faster charging are relevant; capacity alone cannot tell you which model will last longer in your own use.
