Which phone has the better screen?
Both are listed with a 6.9-inch HD+ display and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Xiaomi additionally lists 60Hz and 90Hz options and a peak brightness of 800 nits for the Redmi A7 Pro 5G. The available POCO comparison data does not establish its brightness or refresh-rate behavior beyond the listed maximum, so the specifications do not support a broader display-quality verdict.
Performance, memory and storage
The Redmi uses Xiaomi’s listed T8300 platform, with two performance-oriented A78 cores and six A55 cores. The POCO is identified by 91mobiles and Gadgets 360 as using a MediaTek Dimensity 6300. These chipset names and core details are specifications, not a head-to-head performance test; there is no independent benchmark in the available evidence to show which phone is faster in apps, games or everyday use.

The Redmi has three stated RAM/storage combinations, including a 64GB option, and supports microSD cards up to 2TB. 91mobiles lists 128GB for the POCO in its summary, but the comparison sources do not present fully consistent configuration details. Confirm the exact RAM and storage in the particular listing rather than assuming every market or seller has the same variant.
Camera: 50MP versus 32MP
Comparison pages list a 50MP rear camera for the POCO C85 5G and Xiaomi lists a 32MP f/2.0 rear camera for the Redmi A7 Pro 5G. Both are listed with an 8MP front camera; Xiaomi specifies f/2.0 for the Redmi front camera. A higher megapixel count does not by itself demonstrate better photos. Sensor, processing, lens, lighting and software all matter, and there is no independent camera comparison here to establish which phone takes better pictures.

Battery capacity and charging
Xiaomi rates the Redmi A7 Pro 5G at 6300mAh typical capacity, compared with 6000mAh reported for the POCO by comparison sources. Xiaomi lists up to 15W charging for the Redmi, plus 7.5W wired reverse charging; Gadgets 360 reports 33W charging for the POCO. The charging figures suggest a POCO advantage on listed wired charging speed, but they do not establish real-world charge times. Nor does the larger Redmi capacity prove longer battery life: no independent battery-duration test is available for these models.
Software support and connectivity
Xiaomi’s India specification page lists Android 16 with HyperOS 3.0 for the Redmi A7 Pro 5G and states four years of Android updates and six years of security updates. Gadgets 360 reports Android 15 and two years of OS updates for the POCO; that POCO support duration is secondary-source information, not an official policy confirmed here. Buyers who plan to keep a phone for several years should treat Xiaomi’s stated Redmi policy as the clearer documented commitment, while checking POCO’s current support terms before buying.

Xiaomi also lists dual 5G SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, IP52, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint reader for the Redmi. These details should not be taken as evidence that the POCO lacks equivalent features; the cited POCO comparison data does not establish all of its corresponding specifications.

There is no reliable fixed price difference to quote. A 91mobiles comparison snapshot showed ₹15,539 for the POCO C85 5G and ₹14,999 for the Redmi A7 Pro 5G. A Smartprix page last updated August 29, 2026, showed ₹15,499 for each. These are page snapshots, not confirmed live checkout prices, and the figures do not establish a lasting gap or the lowest current offer.

Before deciding on price, compare the same RAM and storage capacity, seller, stock status and offer conditions on the same day. The Redmi’s three listed configurations make variant matching particularly important. Include bank discounts or exchange offers only if you are eligible for them.
Which one should you buy?
- Consider the Redmi A7 Pro 5G if you value its larger stated battery capacity, a clearly published software-support policy, microSD expansion or Xiaomi’s officially detailed specifications.
- Consider the POCO C85 5G if its reported 33W charging and 50MP rear camera appeal to you and you can confirm those specifications, the exact configuration and POCO’s support terms from current product or seller information.
- Let the live price decide if your priorities are otherwise similar: compare equivalent storage variants and final checkout prices rather than relying on a comparison-page snapshot.
Xiaomi’s official Redmi specifications are available on its Redmi A7 Pro 5G specifications page. Product-page marketing claims should be read as manufacturer claims, not independent test results. For example, Xiaomi’s page cites a Counterpoint study from 2025 for a claim that 37% of issues were resolved for less than ₹1,000, against an industry average of 28%; the underlying Counterpoint study was not separately reviewed here.
