PlayStation-themed blind packs already exist: Sony’s Japanese product listing features ASTROBOT Blind Pack Plushie, Series 1, a five-character plush assortment. Each pack contains one randomly selected character, so the listing confirms an official PlayStation blind-pack product—but not a worldwide line of PlayStation-logo figures.
What’s in the Astro Bot blind pack?
Sony’s Japanese listing names five palm-sized characters, each reimagined as an Astro Bot VIP Bot: Astro, Jin Sakai Bot from Ghost of Tsushima, Ellie Bot from The Last of Us, Kratos Bot from God of War, and Journey Bot. The plushes are about 100 mm tall and have movable limbs. Good Smile Company is listed as the manufacturer. Sony’s official product listing describes the assortment as random: buying one pack does not let you choose a specific character.
Price, preorder dates, and availability
Sony listed the single plush at ¥2,200 including tax and a five-piece box at ¥11,000 including tax. These are the Japanese listing prices, not a universal or necessarily current retail price. Sony’s stated preorder period ran from July 14 to August 27, 2025, with delivery planned for January 2026. A planned delivery date is not confirmation that orders shipped or that the product is in stock now; Sony’s page warns that some products may no longer be stocked or may have completed production and shipment.
The listing named Good Smile’s online shop and partner shops worldwide as sales channels, but that does not establish current stock, shipping availability in a particular country, or the terms offered by any retailer. Check a live seller’s product details, territory, shipping, price, and stock before buying.

How it differs from other PlayStation collectibles
The blind-pack plush is one format among PlayStation collectibles. Other officially announced products offer fixed contents instead of a random character. The practical difference is whether you want the surprise of an assortment or a specific, known item.
| Product | Format and contents | Price and availability stated in the announcement |
|---|---|---|
| ASTROBOT Blind Pack Plushie, Series 1 | One randomly selected plush from five characters; about 100 mm tall, with movable limbs. Manufacturer: Good Smile Company. | Japanese listing: ¥2,200 including tax for one, or ¥11,000 including tax for a five-piece box. Preorders were listed for July 14–August 27, 2025, with delivery planned for January 2026. Current stock is not confirmed. |
| Spin Master Shapes Collection | Licensed articulated figures announced with Aloy, Kratos, Atreus, Varl, and Jin Sakai. Character figures with accessories, not blind packs. | Price and current availability are not stated in the PlayStation Blog announcement. |
| LEGO PlayStation console replica | A fixed-content, 1,911-piece console replica set with a controller and Ape Escape and Gran Turismo dioramas. | The September 3, 2026 announcement gave a US RRP of $179.99 and named October 2026 sales starts in specified European markets, the United States, and other named countries. See the PlayStation Blog announcement for the listed markets and details. |
Does this mean more PlayStation blind boxes are coming?
No further blind-box line is established by these announcements. Sony Interactive Entertainment’s July 2, 2025 article describes a broader merchandise strategy that includes apparel and accessories, collectibles, and toys and games, alongside expansion into new categories. Its examples include a 28-piece SOPH/F.C. Real Bristol fashion capsule and limited-edition snacks shaped like PlayStation symbols for a 2024 McCain campaign in Brazil. Sony’s Grace Chen, VP of Global Marketing, said: “While we remain committed to key categories like Apparel & Accessories, Collectibles, and Toys & Games, we’re excited to expand into areas we’ve never explored before.” The statement signals broader merchandise activity, not an announcement of another blind-pack series. What to check before buying a PlayStation blind pack
- Randomness: Confirm whether a single pack contains a random design and whether a box guarantees a full set. The Astro Bot listing says a single pack is random; do not assume a five-piece box guarantees every character unless the seller says so.
- Product and manufacturer: Match the exact product name and listed manufacturer. Sony names Good Smile Company for this Astro Bot series.
- Territory and seller: Check that the seller ships to your location and that the price, taxes, and delivery terms apply there. Sony’s Japanese prices are not a promise of local pricing elsewhere.
- Live status: Verify stock and whether the seller is taking orders. The original preorder window and planned delivery date do not establish present availability.
Sony’s Official Licensing Program describes separate programs for peripherals and accessories and for logo licensing on lifestyle products such as apparel, accessories, and housewares. Sony says the Official Licensed Product logo appears on packaging as a mark associated with its standards for licensed peripherals and accessories. That general program information is not, by itself, proof that a particular seller or item is authorized; assess the specific product listing and seller.
