Pinterest announced on October 5, 2026, that James Dibbo will become its chief financial officer on October 26. He will succeed Julia Brau Donnelly, report to CEO Bill Ready, and lead the company’s global finance organization. The appointment has been announced but is not yet effective as of October 7, 2026.
Who is Pinterest’s new CFO?
James Dibbo is a finance executive whose most recent role was vice president and CFO for Global Entertainment, Advertising and Corporate Development at Amazon. Pinterest says that, during his time at Amazon, he also served as CFO of Worldwide Consumer and CFO of North America Consumer.

Before Amazon, Dibbo was CFO of P.F. Chang’s and held senior finance leadership roles at Tesco and BT Group. He began his finance career at PwC in London. He holds a B.S. in Economics from Cardiff University and is a Chartered Accountant (FCA).
When does James Dibbo take over?
Dibbo’s appointment takes effect October 26, 2026. On that date, Donnelly will stop serving as CFO and Dibbo will assume the role. Donnelly will remain with Pinterest in an advisory capacity through October 30 to support the transition.

Pinterest’s August 28 Form 8-K disclosure said Donnelly had submitted her resignation on August 26 to pursue another opportunity. That earlier filing also named Vikram Naidu as interim Principal Financial Officer effective October 30, in addition to his existing finance and business operations role. The October 5 announcement subsequently set out Dibbo’s appointment and Donnelly’s advisory handover.

Dibbo will report to CEO Bill Ready and lead Pinterest’s global finance organization. The remit includes finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), investor relations, treasury, tax, business and corporate development, internal audit, and workplace.
Ready described Dibbo as an “exceptional finance leader” whose operating rigor, strategic range and growth mindset would benefit Pinterest. Dibbo said he admired Pinterest’s role at the intersection of visual search, shopping and advertising. Both statements appeared in the company’s appointment announcement and reflect the speakers’ views.
