Payoneer does not have one universal fee for every customer in India. Your cost depends on how money is received, the currency involved, whether you convert or withdraw it, and whether the account meets Payoneer’s activity threshold. Treat the fee shown in your signed-in account before you confirm a transaction as the quote for that transaction; Payoneer’s public pricing pages are dynamic and may change.
How Payoneer fees in India are charged
Think of the cost in stages: receiving a payment, possibly converting its currency, withdrawing a balance to an Indian bank account, and any separate annual account fee. A fee for one stage does not automatically apply to another. For example, receiving USD into a Payoneer balance and later withdrawing that foreign-currency balance to an INR bank account are distinct transactions.
Payoneer’s India pricing page says transfers from another Payoneer customer are free. Other receiving routes may cost money. Fees for marketplace and platform payouts can be set by the marketplace or network, so check its terms as well as Payoneer’s.
What does it cost to receive money?
The payment method matters, and the published figures below are examples on Payoneer’s India invoice-payment page, not guaranteed quotes for every account or transaction. Eligibility, region, and the payment flow can affect which options are available and who bears a charge.

These examples come from Payoneer’s India invoice-payment page. Its broader India client-payments page describes card, bank transfer, PayPal, and other supported routes, depending on eligibility. The payer-facing flow may let a client pay a fee or pass it to the recipient; check the terms presented for that payment rather than assuming the same fee payer for every route.
Campaign-specific card pricing
Payoneer’s India campaign page states that, effective 1 June 2026, the card fee for settling Request a Payment in India was reduced from 3.2% + USD 0.49 to 2.9% + USD 0.49 for new and existing customers. This is described as a campaign-specific offer with conditions, not a general rate for all card payments or all invoice transactions. How receiving-account fees depend on currency
A Payoneer receiving account provides account details that you can give a payer to send a local bank transfer in the relevant currency. Payoneer says these details work like a bank account in some ways, but they are not actual bank accounts and cannot be charged by a payer. The availability and details depend on the account and currency; see Payoneer’s receiving and client-payment information.
On its India pricing page, Payoneer lists receipt in the local currency of the customer’s primary location as free. Receiving other currencies may incur a fixed fee or a 1% fee depending on the amount; some countries may be exempt, and minimum fees may apply. Because the exact treatment varies, check the currency and amount in your account rather than inferring the cost from the fact that the payer used a local transfer.

What does it cost to convert and withdraw a foreign-currency balance to INR?
For withdrawing a Payoneer balance in a different currency to a local-currency bank account in India, Payoneer’s India pricing page lists a fee of 1–4% of the transaction amount. Payoneer says the exact fee depends on region and transaction volume and is visible in the customer’s account. This is a published range, not a personal quote; the fee shown for your withdrawal is the useful figure for calculating what you will receive.
Payoneer’s withdrawal help page explains that the conversion cost is reflected in the exchange rate shown before confirmation. In Payoneer’s words: “If the withdrawal currency is different from your balance, Payoneer will convert the funds at the applicable exchange rate, which is shown before you confirm the transaction.” The page also says withdrawal fees vary by withdrawal type, and transfers typically take one to three business days depending on currency, bank, and region. Is there an annual Payoneer account fee?
Yes, a separate account fee may apply in addition to transaction charges. Payoneer’s India pricing page lists an annual fee of USD 29.95 if the account receives less than USD 6,000, or equivalent, in any 12 consecutive months. It says customers on a paid annual plan do not pay this fee in the first year of that plan. Check the account’s applicable terms and activity period; this is not a fee attached to each withdrawal.

Payoneer’s India pricing page says payments received into a Payoneer account are automatically withdrawn to an Indian bank account within 48 hours. Its India client-payment and invoice pages instead say within 24 hours, with some wording referring to a local bank or EEFC account. The public pages do not explain the difference, so neither window should be treated as a universal guarantee. Check the timing stated in your account for your route and bank.

How to estimate your actual cost before accepting payment
- Identify the route. Is the payer sending from another Payoneer account, paying an invoice by card or bank route, using receiving-account details, or paying through a marketplace? Each can have different fees.
- Check the receiving currency. Compare it with the local currency of your primary location and the currency you intend to withdraw. Receipt and later conversion are separate stages.
- Review the conversion and withdrawal quote. Before confirming a withdrawal to INR, check the fee and exchange rate displayed in your account. Use those values—not the public 1–4% range—to estimate the amount reaching your bank.
- Check who pays the receiving fee. For a client payment, inspect whether the flow allows the payer or recipient to bear the charge and what the selected method costs.
- Check the account-fee period. Review receipts across the relevant 12 consecutive months to see whether the annual-fee condition applies.
Payoneer’s public India pages provide useful route examples, but account-specific display is the relevant transaction quote. If it differs from a public example, rely on the fee shown before confirmation for that transaction.
