PagePeeker does not publish a metered price per 1,000 screenshots. Its listed monthly plans work out to about $0.0599 per 1,000 API calls on Basic and $0.03999 per 1,000 API calls on Advanced if you use each plan’s full quota. Those are calculated averages, not pay-as-you-go rates—and API calls are not the same as newly rendered screenshots.
PagePeeker’s listed plans and implied cost per 1,000 calls
PagePeeker’s pricing page lists the following monthly fees and quotas. The per-1,000 figures below divide each fee by its full monthly call allowance; they are not prices PagePeeker bills for each batch of 1,000 calls.
| Plan | Listed monthly fee | Included API calls | Implied average per 1,000 calls at full quota |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $5.99 per month | 100,000 | $0.0599 |
| Advanced | $39.99 per month | 1,000,000 | $0.03999 |
| Premium | Custom pricing | No call limit listed | Not stated |

What the averages mean in practice
On Basic, $5.99 divided by 100,000 calls gives $0.0000599 per call, or $0.0599 per 1,000 calls if the full quota is used. On Advanced, $39.99 divided by 1,000,000 calls gives $0.00003999 per call, or $0.03999 per 1,000 calls at full quota. If you use fewer calls, your effective cost per 1,000 calls is higher because the monthly fee remains fixed. The listed Advanced allowance is one million calls total; it is not a published Premium price or quote.

API calls are not the same as fresh screenshots
PagePeeker says it counts one API call for each of these actions:
- Displaying a thumbnail that has already been created, including a cached thumbnail.
- Creating a thumbnail when one is not cached.
- Checking whether a thumbnail is ready.
- Making any other call to an exposed API.
That means a workflow can consume several calls around a single fresh render. For example, a readiness check and subsequent display may both count, even if the display uses a cached image. PagePeeker distinguishes an API call from a render, which is the actual creation of an image. Unused monthly calls do not roll over. These counting details are described in PagePeeker’s FAQ.

How to estimate which plan fits
- Count every request in your workflow. Include thumbnail display, readiness polling, and other API calls—not only requests that create new images.
- Estimate monthly total usage. Multiply the expected calls per screenshot workflow by the number of workflows you expect to run, then account for repeated display and polling.
- Compare the total with the monthly quota. Basic lists 100,000 calls for $5.99 monthly; Advanced lists 1,000,000 calls for $39.99 monthly. Do not treat either quota as a guaranteed number of fresh renders.
- Check dimensions and premium-only needs. The API documentation lists standard thumbnail sizes up to 480×360 pixels. The
refreshoption to force regeneration andwaitto wait for a generated thumbnail rather than return a placeholder are documented as Premium-only. - Account for quota expiry. Monthly calls do not roll over, so an allowance that substantially exceeds your normal usage may not be economical.
See the PagePeeker API documentation for the documented options and sizes. It labels V2 as the recommended version and says the original V1 is discontinued and redirected to V2.
Free options, branding, and plan fit
PagePeeker’s free-thumbnails page lists a branded option with no monthly call limit and an unbranded option with 100,000 monthly calls that requires a link back to PagePeeker. Both are listed with thumbnails up to 480×360 pixels and 20-day caching. These free terms differ from the paid Basic plan, which lists 100,000 monthly calls for $5.99. Confirm the current conditions on the free thumbnails page.

What Premium pricing does—and does not—tell you
PagePeeker lists Premium as custom-priced with no call limit on its pricing page. Its FAQ says customers making more than five million API calls per month may discuss pay-as-you-go, but it does not publish a rate. The sources do not establish the cost of one million Premium calls or a specific pay-as-you-go bill. Contact PagePeeker for a quote rather than extrapolating from Basic or Advanced.
PagePeeker’s homepage describes full-page screenshots and custom premium arrangements, including custom rendering options and delivery to a customer’s CDN. These are vendor-described capabilities; no speed, uptime, or capture-accuracy figures are established here. See PagePeeker’s homepage.
