The biggest difference is audio: Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 can stream Bluetooth audio and switch to sleep sounds, while Bose Sleepbuds II were designed for masking and relaxation tracks—not music streaming or calls. Ozlo also lists a longer maximum runtime, sleep modes and an in-ear alarm. Bose’s figures are historical launch specifications; neither product has been established here in a controlled head-to-head test.

How the audio works: streaming versus stored tracks

Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 support Bluetooth streaming from a source such as a phone, alongside built-in Sleep Sounds. Ozlo describes modes that can transition from streamed audio to masking sounds, so a listener can use a podcast or other streamed audio before relying on sleep sounds. See Ozlo’s Sleepbuds 2 product page for its current feature description.

Bose Sleepbuds II take a narrower approach. Bose said at launch in 2020 that they do not stream music or support calls; they play relaxation and noise-masking tracks through the Bose Sleep app. Bose described more than 35 free tracks, with up to 10 stored on the buds. Those are Bose’s historical launch claims, not a statement about current app availability. Bose’s 2020 announcement explains the intended use.

Specifications and features compared

Feature Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 Bose Sleepbuds II
Product role Sleep-focused earbuds with Bluetooth streaming, sleep sounds and masking (Ozlo current product page, accessed 2026). Sleep-focused masking and relaxation audio; Bose said they do not stream music (Bose, 2020).
Bluetooth Bluetooth 5.3 listed by Ozlo (current product page, accessed 2026). Music streaming not supported, according to Bose’s 2020 launch release.
Sleep audio 60+ sleep sounds and soundscapes listed by Ozlo (current product page, accessed 2026). More than 35 free tracks; up to 10 stored on the buds, according to Bose’s 2020 release.
Runtime Up to 14 hours per charge. Ozlo says this was demonstrated at 50% volume with streaming audio and Sleep Sounds; actual results vary with use and battery condition (current product page, accessed 2026). 10 hours per bud, plus up to 30 additional hours from the case, per Bose’s 2020 launch specifications.
Noise management Passive noise reduction from silicone tips plus adaptive sound masking, according to Ozlo. Noise masking and soft-sealing tips; Bose explicitly said these are not ANC headphones.
Alarm and controls Ozlo lists app controls, sleep modes, audio tuning, a private in-ear alarm, a multifunction Smart Case button and Sleep Shield. Bose described app control for alarm, volume and track selection (2020).
Calls and microphones Ozlo says there is no microphone in the earbuds. The case microphone is used to assess environmental noise, not for calls. Bose said the Sleepbuds II do not support calls (2020).
Size and fit details 1.6 g per bud, 11 mm height and four tip sizes listed by Ozlo. Bose described a shallow enclosure and three tip sizes at launch.
Charging and protection USB-C charging listed by Ozlo; an IP rating is not stated on the cited product page. IPX4 rating stated by Bose at launch in 2020.
Product status Listed on Ozlo’s current product page. Bose support search metadata identifies sales from 2020–2022; check local availability and current support before buying.

Battery claims are not a head-to-head result

Ozlo’s “up to 14 hours” figure comes with a stated test condition: streaming audio and Sleep Sounds at 50% volume. Ozlo cautions that playback varies with audio content, volume, Bluetooth use, settings, battery age and charging history. Bose announced 10 hours per bud and up to 30 additional hours from the case in 2020. Because these are manufacturer claims from different products and years, they do not show which will last longer in the same listener’s routine.

Ozlo Sleepbuds® 2 - Sleep Earbuds, Snoring & Noise Masking Headphones
  • SIDE-SLEEPER FIT THAT STAYS PUT ALL NIGHT. Just 1.6g and flush to your ear, so you can roll over without soreness or pop-out. Four soft ear tip sizes for a secure, personal fit.
  • MASKS SNORING, TRAFFIC, AND CITY NOISE. A steady sound shield holds all night long, tuned for the low rumble of partner snoring. Consistent sound keeps the noises that usually wake you from reaching you.
  • 14-HOUR BATTERY LASTS THE WHOLE NIGHT. No waking up to a dead bud at 3am. A private in-ear alarm wakes only you, at a volume you set, without disturbing your partner.
  • 50+ SLEEP SOUNDS, OR STREAM YOUR OWN. White noise, nature, and calm tones for sleep or meditation, plus music and podcasts over Bluetooth. A sleep timer fades audio as you drift off, then switches to masking.
  • PURPOSE-BUILT FOR SLEEP, NOT ADAPTED FROM DAYTIME EARBUDS. The Smart Case measures bedroom noise, light, and temperature overnight, and the Ozlo app (iOS + Android) turns it into sleep insights that sharpen with use.

Neither product is active noise cancelling

These are sleep-focused devices, not ANC headphones. Bose explicitly distinguished Sleepbuds II from active noise cancellation, describing sound coverage rather than cancellation. Ozlo describes passive reduction from the silicone tips and adaptive masking. Masking can make a disturbance less perceptible, but it is not the same as eliminating sound, and neither product should be treated as hearing protection.

What the published sleep results do—and do not—show

Bose’s 2020 release reported responses from a Bose-partnered user-tested study involving the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and the UCHealth CARE Innovation Center: 100% of participants said masking worked against common disturbances, 86% said it helped them fall asleep easier, 76% said it helped them stay asleep, and 80% reported overall improvement in sleep quality. The release does not give the sample size, protocol or publication details, so these figures are best understood as Bose-reported participant responses, not proof of clinical efficacy or a comparison with Ozlo.

Ozlo’s Help Center compares Sleepbuds 2 with the original Ozlo model, reporting up to 85 dBA for Sleep Sounds and up to 91 dBA for streaming on Sleepbuds 2, versus 75 dBA on the original. Those are Ozlo’s own product-generation figures, not a Bose comparison. Ozlo Help Center comparison.

Which one fits your routine?

Choose Ozlo if you want to stream before sleep

  • You want Bluetooth audio such as a podcast or other streamed content before switching to sleep sounds.
  • You value modes, sound tuning, sleep tracking or an in-ear alarm as part of a sleep-focused setup.
  • You prefer a current product listing and the longer manufacturer-claimed maximum runtime, while recognizing that actual battery life depends on use.

Consider Bose only if its narrower use case is enough

  • You mainly want masking and relaxation tracks rather than streamed music.
  • You are considering remaining stock or a used set and can verify the device’s condition, fit, app support and return options before purchase.

Comfort is individual: Ozlo lists four tip sizes and Bose described three, but size counts cannot predict which will seal comfortably in a particular ear. Review the seller’s return terms and assess fit rather than assuming one model will suit everyone. Bose’s model is legacy, and present app support and the condition of any secondhand battery are not established by its 2020 launch release.

Bottom line

Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 are the more versatile option on published specifications, particularly for streaming audio before sleep and using modes or an in-ear alarm. Bose Sleepbuds II are a more limited masking-and-relaxation device, and their legacy status makes current support and used condition important buying checks. Compare these as different feature sets—not as a proven battery, comfort or sleep-outcome winner.
