Overwatch: Reign of Talon Season 5 rewards are split across the Battle Pass, Mystery Madness and its weekly Event Passes, Unvaulted Passes, the Shadow Monarch collaboration, and Twitch Drops. Some rewards require play or watch time; others are tied to optional pass or bundle purchases. Blizzard’s October 6, 2026 announcements name many rewards, but do not give a complete list of event challenges or milestone items—use the live in-game screens for those exact details.

Earn rewards in the Season 5 Battle Pass
Blizzard says the Season 5 Battle Pass tracks include five Legendary skins, three Epic skins, other cosmetics and currencies, and up to 80 Mythic Prisms. The announcement names the skins below but does not assign them to specific tiers, so check the in-game pass for their current placement.

The revamped Swap Pool lets players choose which eligible Legendary Battle Pass skin to pursue first. Blizzard names Witch Kiriko, Streetwear Hazard, Magma Sombra, and Evening Wear Tracer among the returning eligible options, but says there are others. Consult the live pass to see the full current selection.
Optional bundle contents
Bundles are separate from rewards earned by progressing through the pass. Blizzard’s announcement lists the following contents, but does not state regional prices or platform-specific availability; check the in-game shop for the current listing in your region.

Play Mystery Madness and use Offerings
Blizzard describes Mystery Madness: Graveyard Games as a 5v5 Open Queue mode with a guaranteed 1-2-2 role composition and best-of-three Control rounds. You start with a random role and three hero choices, gain powers as you level, and choose powers when you die or at a round transition. The event is announced for October 6 through November 2, 2026.
Challenges award rewards and Offerings. Pledge available Offerings to Ashe, Moira, or Winston: each pledge grants Battle Pass XP and moves that chosen hero closer to being summoned. Weekly Event Passes add spooky rewards, with a milestone at the end of each week.
Blizzard’s October 6 launch notes and season announcement do not enumerate every challenge, requirement, or Event Pass milestone item. In Overwatch, open the live Challenges and Event Pass screens and follow the objectives and progress shown there; do not rely on an assumed match count or reward list.

Activate an Unvaulted Pass to earn its eligible rewards
- From the home screen, open Battle Passes > Legacy Pass.
- Choose an available Legacy Season pass. Blizzard’s patch notes say Legacy Seasons 1–15 passes are available to purchase in the shop under the Unvaulted Battle Pass tab; locked passes may arrive in a later season.
- Own and activate the pass from the Legacy Pass menu. Match XP then counts toward that pass. Only one Unvaulted Pass can be active at a time, although it can progress alongside the current season pass.
- Continue earning match XP. Previously earned progress carries over. Blizzard says a completed active pass rolls over to the next available one unless you select another.
Blizzard says an acquired Unvaulted Pass remains permanently available on the account. These passes contain eligible older rewards, not necessarily every reward from their original release. Excluded rewards include Mythic skins, Mythic Prisms, Overwatch Coins, XP boosts, and player titles in the patch notes; the announcement also specifies Prestige Titles and Mythic Hero and Weapon Skins as exclusions.

The Overwatch x Shadow Monarch collaboration quest window is October 6–19, 2026, according to Blizzard’s Season 5 announcement. The named pairings are:
- Genji × Sung Jinwoo
- Reaper × Igris
- Anran × Cha Hae-In
- Reinhardt × Iron
- Lifeweaver × Choi Jong-In
Blizzard says to enter the collaboration and level up, but its announcement does not provide a complete quest milestone or reward table. Check the in-game collaboration screen for the objectives and rewards currently available.

Earn and claim Season 5 Twitch Drops
Blizzard lists these rewards and watch-time thresholds for the Season 5 Drops campaign:

- Link your Battle.net and Twitch accounts.
- Watch streams in the Overwatch category for the required time.
- Claim earned Drops on Twitch. The official post supports earning and claiming through a PC/Mac web browser or the Twitch Android/iOS app; console and TV Twitch apps do not support it.
The campaign post’s opening says the promotion runs from October 6 at 11 a.m. PT through November 2 at 11:59 p.m. PT, while its FAQ gives October 16 as the start date. Check the live Twitch Drops campaign listing to confirm the active window rather than relying on either conflicting date. The post says Drops must be claimed within 24 hours after the promotion ends; a claimed Drop expires after seven days if no Battle.net account is linked.

Where to verify current objectives and availability
Use the in-game Challenges and Event Pass screens for Mystery Madness objectives and weekly milestones, and the collaboration screen for its quest details. Check the current Battle Pass and shop listings for tier placement, bundle availability, and regional prices. Blizzard’s October 6 patch notes say they will not be updated, and event windows, Drop eligibility, and shop listings can change.
