For Overwatch 2 Season 5 in 2023, the clearest documented Premium reward was the Mythic Adventurer Tracer skin: its base version unlocked at tier 45, with additional customizations at tiers 65 and 80. Blizzard’s announcement names other seasonal cosmetics and Questwatch rewards, but it does not provide a complete free-versus-premium tier list.
How Season 5’s Battle Pass progression worked
Blizzard announced Season 5 on June 12, 2023, with a fantasy-adventure theme. Battle Pass tier progression was tied to chapters of the Questwatch story. The details below describe that historical season, not current Battle Pass rewards.

Blizzard’s Season 5 announcement supports a comparison of selected rewards, but it does not identify every item on both tracks. In particular, it does not establish a complete free-track inventory or a full tier-by-tier rewards chart.
Documented free and Premium rewards
| Reward or feature | What Blizzard documented | Track details |
|---|---|---|
| Mythic Adventurer Tracer | The base Mythic skin unlocked at tier 45; further customizations were available at tiers 65 and 80. | Blizzard explicitly tied this progression to the Premium Battle Pass. |
| Slime Queen Echo, Royal Guard Genji, and Demon Lord Reinhardt | Named among the season’s Epic and Legendary cosmetics. | The announcement does not give a complete track assignment or tier list for these examples. |
| Key Quest rewards | Completing five Key Quests unlocked 1,500 Currency. Key Quest challenges offered up to 20,000 Battle Pass XP. | The announcement does not clearly assign these rewards to the free or Premium track. |
The tier numbers for Tracer refer to different parts of the reward: tier 45 was the base skin, while tiers 65 and 80 brought further customization. They should not be read as meaning the fully customized Mythic skin arrived at tier 45.

Season-specific promotions were separate offers
Blizzard also described Twitch Drops and Prime Gaming rewards for the 2023 season, including tier skips and the Conductor Reinhardt skin. These were time-limited promotions, not permanent Battle Pass rewards, and the announcement does not establish that they can still be claimed.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the announcement does not establish
- A complete list of rewards on the free and Premium tracks, or every reward at every tier.
- Which Battle Pass track received the Key Quest Currency and XP rewards.
- A Battle Pass purchase price.
Blizzard’s announcement is therefore useful for confirming specific Season 5 rewards, especially the Premium Tracer progression, but not for reconstructing a full free-versus-premium rewards chart.
