For buyers in India, the OPPO Reno16 5G is the camera-focused option on paper, while the OnePlus Nord CE6 prioritizes a larger, faster display and a higher-capacity battery. Their prices and configurations are not like-for-like: OPPO’s official price changed between its July launch and its 31 August 2026 price listing, while the Nord CE6 price cited below is a third-party snapshot. These comparisons apply to the India-market models; OPPO says Reno16 specifications and prices vary by country, and its Indian Reno16 model is CPH2865.

India price difference: dated snapshots, not a fixed gap

OPPO’s launch announcement dated 2 July 2026 gave launch prices of ₹61,999 for 8GB + 256GB and ₹67,999 for 12GB + 256GB, with availability starting 9 July 2026. OPPO’s later price page says its figures were correct as of 31 August 2026 and lists ₹66,999 for 8GB + 256GB and ₹72,999 for 12GB + 256GB. It also lists respective prices of ₹89,999 and ₹99,999, and says the prices are tax-inclusive and subject to change. These are separate dated official price snapshots, not one blended price.

The ₹29,000 gap is simply the subtraction between the two prices displayed by 91mobiles when accessed on 4 October 2026; those volatile third-party figures are not a fixed MSRP comparison. Smartprix also displayed ₹66,999 for the Reno16 and ₹37,999 for the Nord CE 6 5G, with comparison data marked updated 27 September 2026. Which phone has the more versatile camera setup?

On the listed hardware, the Reno16 offers more rear-camera focal-length options: a wide camera, an ultra-wide camera and a 3.5× optical telephoto camera, all listed at 50MP. Its front camera is also listed at 50MP with autofocus. That makes it the more camera-oriented choice on paper, particularly if an ultra-wide or optical telephoto lens matters to how you frame photos.

  • 158.2 x 74.9 x 8.4 mm or 8.6 mm, 194 g or 196 g (6.84 oz)

The Nord CE6’s cited official overview centers on a 50MP main camera with dual-axis OIS, plus a 32MP autofocus selfie camera with a 90-degree field of view. A higher megapixel count by itself does not establish better image quality, and a longer camera list does not prove better results. No independent camera testing is established here, so choose by the lenses and framing options you want rather than assuming one phone takes better pictures.

Which has the better display for your preferences?

The Nord CE6 has the larger screen: 6.78 inches versus the Reno16’s 6.32 inches. It also lists a 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, compared with the Reno16’s FHD+ display and refresh rate up to 120Hz. If a spacious screen and higher listed refresh rate are priorities, the OnePlus has the stronger spec-sheet case. The Reno16’s smaller display may suit someone who prefers a more compact phone, though screen size alone does not establish how comfortable either handset feels in hand.

Battery capacity and charging compared

OnePlus lists an 8000mAh battery, larger than the Reno16’s 6700mAh typical capacity (6490mAh rated). Both list 80W charging; OnePlus also claims 27W reverse charging. Capacity and charging specifications do not establish real-world battery life or charging time. Usage, settings and conditions matter, and no independent battery testing is established here.

Processors

The phones use different chipsets: Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 in the Reno16 and Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 in the Nord CE6. The names should not be treated as interchangeable, but the listed model names alone are not enough to determine which will perform better for your apps or games. No comparative performance testing is established here.

Storage configurations

OPPO lists the Reno16 with 256GB storage and either 8GB or 12GB RAM. The 91mobiles Nord CE6 comparison summary lists an 8GB + 128GB configuration, but that listing does not establish that it is the only configuration or that it is available from every seller. Compare the actual RAM and storage SKU on the retailer’s listing before treating the two prices as directly comparable.

Water and dust resistance

OPPO lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. OnePlus describes water and dust resistance and explains its IP ratings and limitations in product disclaimers. These ratings do not mean either phone is suitable for diving; follow the manufacturer’s specific conditions and limitations.

Which one should you buy?

  • Choose the Reno16 if the listed camera versatility is your priority—especially its 3.5× optical telephoto and ultra-wide rear cameras—or you prefer the smaller 6.32-inch display. Its 50MP autofocus selfie camera is a higher stated resolution than the OnePlus’s 32MP option, but that alone does not establish image quality.
  • Choose the Nord CE6 if you want the larger 6.78-inch 144Hz display, the larger stated battery capacity, or the listed 27W reverse-charging feature. Confirm the exact storage configuration and current price for the handset you intend to buy.
  • Compare total value only after checking live listings. OPPO’s two dated official price sets differ, and the Nord CE6 figure cited here is a third-party snapshot. Check current prices, stock and configuration before deciding that the displayed gap applies to your purchase.
