The OPPO Reno15 5G and Nothing Phone (4a) differ most clearly in their published display, camera, battery and charging specifications—but an exact current price difference cannot be established from the available official prices, which are for different countries and dates. The OPPO specifications below are for the India-market Reno15 5G (model CPH2825); Nothing’s cited product page is international, with battery capacity varying by market.
OPPO Reno15 vs Nothing Phone (4a): specification comparison

Where the phones differ in practical terms
Performance: chipset names do not establish a winner
The Reno15 uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, while the Phone (4a) uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4. Those are different chips, but the cited manufacturer pages do not provide a controlled head-to-head performance test. The names alone are not enough to determine which phone is faster in everyday use, gaming or sustained workloads.

Display: compare the stated specifications, not assumed image quality
Nothing specifies a 1.5K AMOLED panel with adaptive 30–120 Hz refresh, while OPPO lists a 2760 × 1256 FHD+ display measuring 16.74 cm. These published figures describe different display attributes; they do not establish which screen looks better in person, since no controlled brightness, color or viewing comparison is available here.
Cameras: optical zoom is not the same as maximum zoom
Nothing highlights a 50 MP OIS periscope camera with 3.5× optical zoom. Its advertised 70× ultra zoom is a maximum zoom claim, not 70× optical magnification, and does not guarantee image quality at that setting. OPPO’s India specification page lists video capabilities including 4K recording at 30 or 60 fps and video zoom up to 3.5× optical/18× digital. These details alone do not establish which phone takes better photos or video.

Battery and charging: capacity and wattage are not endurance tests
For the India Reno15, OPPO lists 6500 mAh typical capacity (6335 mAh rated) and charging up to 80 W. Nothing lists 5080 mAh on its international page, but specifies 5400 mAh for India, alongside 50 W fast charging. Capacity and charging ratings do not by themselves establish real-world battery life or how long a full charge takes.
What is the price difference?
The official figures available are from separate markets and different points in time, so they should not be presented as a current like-for-like price gap. OPPO’s figures are India launch prices; Nothing’s are historical UK preorder prices. Neither set establishes today’s retail price in another market.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the Reno15 if its India-market configuration suits you and the listed higher battery capacity or up-to-80 W charging rating matters to your shortlist. Those specifications are not a promise of longer endurance or a particular charging time.
- Consider the Phone (4a) if the periscope camera’s 3.5× optical zoom is a priority, or if you prefer its listed 1.5K AMOLED and adaptive refresh-rate specification. Treat 70× as Nothing’s maximum ultra-zoom claim rather than optical reach.
- Compare local prices before deciding if cost is the deciding factor. Check official or reputable retailer listings in the same country and on the same date, and match RAM and storage. Also compare taxes, promotions, stock and warranty terms.
For exact local variants and availability, consult the OPPO Reno15 series announcement, which notes that local-market announcements carry specific pricing and release details, alongside the regional product pages for each phone.
