The vivo X300 FE launched in India at ₹79,999 for 12GB/256GB, while the OPPO Reno14 5G launched at ₹39,999 for the same storage tier—a ₹40,000 launch-price gap. The Reno14 gives you a larger screen and a manufacturer-promoted 3.5x optical telephoto camera; the X300 FE is more compact and has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a larger stated battery, faster wired charging and support for a separately purchased ZEISS telephoto extender. These are India launch prices from different years, not a like-for-like current street-price quote.

What is the India price difference?
At launch, both phones’ 12GB/256GB configurations were separated by ₹40,000: OPPO priced the Reno14 at ₹39,999 and vivo priced the X300 FE at ₹79,999. The launch prices were announced roughly ten months apart, in July 2025 and May 2026 respectively, so the difference is useful for comparing launch positioning—not proof of today’s value for money.
Other India launch configurations
- OPPO Reno14 5G: ₹37,999 for 8GB/128GB, ₹39,999 for 12GB/256GB and ₹42,999 for 12GB/512GB, announced by OPPO India.
- vivo X300 FE: ₹79,999 for 12GB/256GB and ₹89,999 for 12GB/512GB, announced by vivo India.
A third-party listing observed by 91mobiles on 4 October 2026 showed ₹42,744 for the Reno14, marked out of stock, and ₹94,999 for the X300 FE on Amazon. Which phone is better for screen size and handling?
The Reno14 has the larger listed display at 6.59 inches, compared with 6.31 inches on the X300 FE. Choose the OPPO if a more expansive screen matters more to you; the vivo is the more compact option for buyers who prefer a smaller handset. Display size alone does not establish differences in brightness, color accuracy or outdoor visibility.
Which phone has stronger performance hardware?
The X300 FE has the more clearly specified flagship-oriented platform in the sources available here: vivo names a 3nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. The Reno14’s MediaTek MT6897 identification comes from 91mobiles, rather than the cited OPPO launch release. Chipset names and fabrication figures do not substitute for comparable benchmark or real-world testing, and no reproducible head-to-head performance results are established here.

How do the cameras compare?
The Reno14’s headline is its 3.5x optical telephoto camera, as promoted by OPPO. The X300 FE has a 50MP OIS telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and can use vivo’s compatible ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2, which was announced separately at ₹15,999. The accessory adds a purchase cost and is relevant if longer telephoto reach is a priority.
Megapixel counts and stated zoom levels do not determine which phone takes better photos. No independent head-to-head camera test is established by the cited material, so a universal camera winner cannot be inferred from these specifications.

- 512GB Storage, 12GB RAM
- Android 15, ColorOS 15, Mediatek Dimensity 8450 (4 nm), Octa-core 3.25 GHz

Which phone has the battery and charging advantage?
vivo specifies a 6500mAh typical capacity (6350mAh rated) and 90W wired FlashCharge for the X300 FE. The Reno14’s 6000mAh capacity and 80W wired charging are listed by 91mobiles. The X300 FE therefore has the higher stated capacity and charging wattage, but those figures do not establish longer real-world battery life or a faster measured charging time; no comparable endurance or charging-time test is established here.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which one should you choose?
- Choose the OPPO Reno14 5G if you want the larger listed display, value its 3.5x optical telephoto specification, or can buy it at a price that makes sense against current alternatives.
- Choose the vivo X300 FE if you prefer a smaller screen, want the specifically listed Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform, or value its higher stated battery capacity, 90W wired charging and optional compatible telephoto extender.
The X300 FE launched at a substantially higher same-storage price, but launch prices from different years cannot settle today’s buying decision. Compare live prices for the same RAM and storage tier, and weigh size and camera priorities rather than treating either specification sheet as a complete measure of experience.
