The India-listed OPPO Reno14 5G starts at ₹37,999 on OPPO’s store, while Samsung announced the Galaxy S26 FE (8GB/256GB) at ₹79,999. That is a ₹42,000 difference between the displayed amounts, but not a like-for-like transaction comparison: OPPO’s figure is a promotional starting price, while Samsung’s is the announced price for one specified configuration. On paper, the Reno14 offers higher display resolution, a higher-capacity battery, faster-wattage wired charging and more rear-camera megapixels; the Galaxy S26 FE has a higher stated display-brightness figure and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. Those specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos, lasts longer or performs faster.
OPPO Reno14 vs Samsung Galaxy S26 FE: India models and price difference
This comparison is for the India-market OPPO Reno14 5G (CPH2737) and Samsung Galaxy S26 FE, 8GB/256GB. It is not a global price comparison: configurations, network support, included accessories and pricing can vary by market.
OPPO’s India store displayed the Reno14 5G at “From ₹37,999” when retrieved in 2026. The page also showed promotions, so this is a time-sensitive starting price, not a confirmed undiscounted price for every storage option. Samsung India’s 14 September 2026 announcement lists the Galaxy S26 FE 8GB/256GB at ₹79,999 and describes limited-time purchase offers separately. The difference between those displayed or announced amounts is ₹42,000, but it does not show the final price a buyer will pay for comparable configurations. Check the seller’s current offer and the exact variant before purchasing.

Specifications are manufacturer-stated. Brightness figures use different stated terms, and display size and resolution are not presented in identical formats, so the numbers are not a controlled screen comparison. For the same reason, camera resolutions and lens specifications describe hardware, not comparative image quality.
Screen: sharper stated resolution or higher brightness figure?
OPPO specifies a 1256 × 2760 flexible AMOLED display with a 16.74cm diagonal-class measurement and a typical HBM brightness figure of 1200 nits. Samsung specifies a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel and a brightness figure of 1,900 nits. Both are listed as supporting refresh rates up to 120Hz.

The Reno14’s published pixel dimensions are higher, while Samsung’s stated brightness number is higher. However, OPPO labels its figure as typical HBM, and the Samsung announcement uses a different brightness description. These manufacturer figures alone cannot establish which screen is easier to read outdoors or looks better in everyday use. The Reno14 page also names Gorilla Glass 7i; that material detail is not, by itself, evidence of comparative durability.

Performance, memory and storage
The Reno14 5G uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 and is listed in India with 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB configurations; OPPO says the 512GB option is not available in Mint Green. Samsung’s India announcement identifies the Galaxy S26 FE with Exynos 2500 and 8GB/256GB.

- Rear: 50 MP, f/1.8, 24mm (wide), 1/1.55", PDAF, OIS, 50 MP, f/2.8, 80mm (periscope telephoto), PDAF, OIS, 3.5x optical zoom, 50 MP, f/2.0, 16mm, 116˚ (ultrawide), AF, Front: 50 MP, f/2.0, 21mm (wide), AF
The Reno14 gives buyers more listed memory and storage combinations. The available evidence does not provide comparable benchmarks or controlled gaming tests, so chipset names alone are not enough to call one phone faster. Buyers who need more than 256GB should also verify that their preferred Reno14 colour is available in the desired storage tier.
Rear and selfie cameras: compare the lenses, not just megapixels
OPPO lists a 50MP main camera with two-axis optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera with two-axis OIS. Its specification page describes up to 3.5× optical zoom in video zoom shooting. Samsung lists a 50MP OIS main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide and an 8MP telephoto with 3× optical zoom and OIS.

On the stated hardware, OPPO’s telephoto has more megapixels, while Samsung’s ultra-wide has more. The zoom statements are not identical: OPPO specifies its figure for video zoom shooting, whereas Samsung describes 3× optical zoom for the telephoto camera. Neither megapixel counts nor lens labels establish which phone produces better photos or video; that requires comparable samples and testing.
For selfies, OPPO lists a 50MP autofocus front camera and Samsung a 12MP front camera. The higher resolution on the OPPO specification sheet does not by itself prove better selfies, since the listed figures do not describe a controlled comparison of focus, processing or image results.

Battery, charging and portability
OPPO gives the Reno14 a 6000mAh typical battery capacity and 5840mAh rated capacity, with 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging. Samsung lists a 4900mAh battery for the Galaxy S26 FE. The cited Samsung India announcement does not state a charging wattage. Capacity figures put the Reno14 ahead on paper, but they do not show measured runtime. No comparable endurance or charging-time results are established here.
The published weights are close: approximately 187g for OPPO and 193g for Samsung. OPPO lists thickness at about 0.74cm, while Samsung gives 7.4mm. These are manufacturer figures; they do not establish how either phone feels in the hand.
Which phone makes more sense for your priorities?
- Consider the Reno14 5G if its current offer fits your budget and you value the listed 6000mAh typical battery, 80W wired charging, higher stated display resolution, 50MP telephoto hardware or storage options up to 512GB. The specifications do not guarantee longer battery life or better camera results.
- Consider the Galaxy S26 FE if you prefer Samsung’s listed 12MP ultra-wide camera, its stated 1,900-nit display figure, or the 8GB/256GB configuration suits you. Its ₹79,999 announced price is for that configuration, before any applicable purchase offer.
- Compare final checkout prices rather than subtracting the two figures as though they were equivalent: OPPO’s ₹37,999 is a promotional starting listing retrieved in 2026, while Samsung’s ₹79,999 is an announced price for an identified configuration.
The available official India material does not establish comparable software-upgrade or security-support durations for these exact models. It also does not establish controlled performance, display, camera, battery-runtime or charging-time results. Those are open questions, not grounds for a winner based only on the published specification sheets.
