The OPPO Reno16 5G adds a 3.5x optical telephoto camera and a larger stated battery than the Reno13 5G, while the Reno13 has the larger screen. In India, the Reno16’s July 2026 entry launch price was ₹24,000 higher—but it included twice the storage, and the figures are from launches about 18 months apart, not a like-for-like comparison of current prices.
OPPO Reno13 vs Reno16: specifications at a glance

Reno16: adds a 3.5x optical telephoto
OPPO India describes the Reno16 as having three 50MP rear cameras, including a 3.5x optical telephoto alongside wide and ultra-wide cameras. That gives it a specifically listed optical zoom camera; the Reno13 specification cited here does not list a telephoto lens. The megapixel counts and lens specifications describe hardware, not independently measured image quality, so they do not establish which phone takes better photos overall.
Display size, processors, and battery capacity
The Reno13 has the larger stated screen
The Reno13’s global specification lists a 6.59-inch screen; OPPO India gives the Reno16 as 16.05cm, about 6.32 inches. Both are FHD+ AMOLED panels with refresh rates up to 120Hz in the cited specifications. Brightness, resolution detail, and surface materials can depend on the market and model, so check the matching regional specification sheet if those details matter to your purchase.

Different processor platforms, no benchmark verdict
The Reno13 uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350, while the India Reno16 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The chip names identify different platforms, but do not by themselves show which phone will be faster for a particular app, game, or workload. No comparable benchmark results are established here.
The Reno16 has the larger stated battery capacity
OPPO lists the Reno13 battery at 5600mAh typical. For the India Reno16, OPPO lists 6700mAh typical and 6490mAh rated capacity, plus 80W SUPERVOOC charging. Battery capacity is a specification, not a measure of time between charges; no comparable independent battery-life results are established here. The cited Reno13 specification lists supported charging protocols but does not state one maximum charging wattage.

OPPO Reno13 vs Reno16 price difference in India
The figures below are India prices from different dates. Reno13 prices are January 2025 launch prices. Reno16’s launch prices were announced in July 2026; OPPO’s India details page later listed prices marked correct as of August 31, 2026 and subject to change.
| Phone and configuration | Price | Price context |
|---|---|---|
| Reno13 5G, 8GB + 128GB | ₹37,999 | India launch price, January 2025 |
| Reno13 5G, 8GB + 256GB | ₹39,999 | India launch price, January 2025 |
| Reno16 5G, 8GB + 256GB | ₹61,999 | India launch price, July 2026 |
| Reno16 5G, 12GB + 256GB | ₹67,999 | India launch price, July 2026 |
| Reno16 5G, 8GB + 256GB | ₹66,999 | OPPO India page price, correct as of August 31, 2026; subject to change |
| Reno16 5G, 12GB + 256GB | ₹72,999 | OPPO India page price, correct as of August 31, 2026; subject to change |
Comparing the entry launch prices gives a difference of ₹24,000 (₹61,999 minus ₹37,999). That is not a like-for-like storage comparison: the Reno16 entry configuration has 256GB, twice the Reno13 entry configuration’s 128GB. The prices also come from launches about 18 months apart. A current Reno13 price is not established by these figures, so they cannot show how much more one phone costs today.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Reno16 if its listed hardware matches your priorities
- You want a dedicated 3.5x optical telephoto camera, rather than the Reno13’s listed main, ultra-wide, and monochrome setup.
- You prefer the larger stated battery capacity, while recognising that capacity alone does not predict battery life.
- You want a 256GB storage configuration and are comparing the specific India CPH2865 model.
Consider the Reno13 if you prefer its size or find a suitable current deal
- You want the larger stated display: 6.59 inches versus about 6.32 inches for the India Reno16.
- You find a Reno13 listing at a price that makes sense against the Reno16’s actual local price and storage configuration.
- You are willing to evaluate performance and camera results from independent testing rather than treating processor names or megapixel counts as proof of a winner.
These are choices based on published specifications, not hands-on test findings. Before buying, verify the exact model number, storage tier, and current local listing. OPPO says Reno16 pricing, regional availability, and release timing vary by market in its June 25, 2026 global announcement; its Reno13 global announcement likewise directs customers to local announcements for pricing and availability.
