OPPO’s advantages include microSD expansion and a documented lower launch price—but that price dates to June 2024, so it is not a current offer. There is no verified like-for-like current price comparison or independent head-to-head test here; your best choice depends on priorities and today’s price for the same storage tier.

Which phone has the better display?
On listed specifications, the realme 16 Pro has the stronger display: its 6.78-inch AMOLED panel is FHD+ at 450 PPI and supports up to 144Hz. The OPPO A3 Pro has a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD at 264 PPI with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. That makes the realme the clearer specification choice for resolution, pixel density and maximum refresh rate. These figures do not establish comparative brightness or real-world viewing quality.

How do their cameras compare?
The realme offers a broader camera setup on paper: a 200MP main camera with 2-axis optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide and a 50MP front camera. OPPO lists a 50MP main camera, a 2MP portrait/depth camera and an 8MP front camera. Realme also lists rear and front video recording up to 4K at 30fps, compared with OPPO’s maximum of 1080p at 60fps on the rear and 1080p at 30fps on the front.
These are hardware and recording-mode comparisons, not proof that one phone takes better photos or selfies. Megapixel counts alone do not determine image quality, and the realme video modes should be checked on the exact regional unit and firmware.

Battery, charging and performance
Realme’s India product page promotes a 7000mAh battery and 80W charging. OPPO lists a 5100mAh typical battery capacity and 45W SUPERVOOC charging. Those published figures favor realme, but no independent side-by-side battery-life or charging-time test is available here; capacity and rated charging speed do not by themselves establish everyday runtime or how long a full charge takes.
The listed processors are the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max 5G in the realme and Dimensity 6300 in the OPPO. Chip names alone are not enough to quantify gaming or overall performance, and there is no head-to-head benchmark evidence in this comparison.

Storage and practical extras
OPPO supports a memory card and offers listed 128GB and 256GB configurations with 8GB RAM. Realme does not list storage-card support, but its configurations include up to 512GB of built-in storage. Choose based on how you manage files: expandable storage may suit someone who wants to add a card, while realme’s highest listed capacity is larger without one.
OPPO’s specification page lists a 3.5mm headphone jack and ColorOS 14.0.1. Realme’s India page promotes IP69, and its India launch page states Android 16 and realme UI 7.0. Confirm the software version and certification details for the exact model and market before purchasing.

OPPO A3 Pro vs realme 16 Pro price difference
OPPO India’s launch announcement dated 21 June 2024 listed the A3 Pro at INR 17,999 for 128GB and INR 19,999 for 256GB. These are historical launch prices, not verified current prices. The announcement also stated that the phone was rated IP54 for water and dust resistance and described OPPO laboratory testing after 10 minutes of rain exposure; that is the manufacturer’s account of its own testing, not independent comparative proof.
A 91mobiles comparison listing showed the OPPO A3 Pro at ₹19,999 marked “Out of Stock” and the realme 16 Pro at ₹44,999 at Amazon. This is a third-party listing snapshot, not a verified live quote: the realme price was not confirmed against a live official or retailer page, and equivalent configurations were not established. It cannot support a reliable current price gap.

Which one should you buy?
- Choose the realme 16 Pro 5G if you prioritize the listed AMOLED FHD+ 144Hz display, more varied camera hardware, higher stated battery capacity and charging rating, or up to 512GB internal storage.
- Consider the OPPO A3 Pro 5G if microSD expansion or a 3.5mm headphone jack matters more to you, and its current price for the storage tier you want makes sense.
- Compare live prices before deciding. OPPO’s available launch figures are from June 2024, and the third-party listing snapshot does not establish a matched current price comparison.
On published specifications alone, the realme has the more ambitious hardware package. Whether it is the better value depends on current same-variant pricing and which features matter to you. No independent side-by-side camera, gaming, performance, battery-life, durability or charging test is available here.
