To redeem Onyx Odds rewards, first confirm you have eligible Sweeps Cash winnings—not Virtual Coins or winnings from excluded games—then complete any requested verification and submit the redemption through your signed-in account. Check the account’s redemption status for updates; an “Approved” status means funds have been sent, not necessarily posted to your bank or card.
Know which Onyx Odds balance may be redeemable
Onyx Odds uses different balance types for different purposes. Its Terms of Use, version 2.1.1, updated August 7, 2026, say Virtual Coins are non-transferable and have no cash value. They are for platform play, not cash redemption.
Sweeps Cash is governed separately by the Sweepstakes Rules. It can be played for a chance to accumulate winnings that may qualify for a prize redemption. A displayed Sweeps Cash balance alone does not mean you can cash it out: the rules require eligible Sweeps Cash to be played under specified conditions before resulting winnings can qualify.
Check eligibility before requesting a redemption
Under the current Sweepstakes Rules, Sweeps Cash obtained through the listed collection methods must be played at least once using a game that displays odds of -500 or longer. The rules exclude opposite selections, Onyx Cash Out winnings, and mini-game winnings such as Onyx Blackjack from redemption. Onyx also reserves the right to require more than one play-through.

Read the current rules and check your account before submitting. Requirements, location availability, and limits can depend on the applicable Sweepstakes Entry Period and your jurisdiction; Onyx’s location help page says it verifies location, and availability can change.
How to redeem eligible Onyx Odds winnings
- Sign in and identify your balance. Check whether you have Virtual Coins, Sweeps Cash, or winnings from eligible play. Do not treat every balance labeled “coin” or “cash” as payable.
- Confirm the winnings qualify. Check that applicable Sweeps Cash has met the play-through and displayed-odds conditions, and that it is not from an excluded selection or game.
- Complete any verification request. Make sure your account details are accurate and match your documents. Onyx says it may confirm signup information automatically, but it may request photo ID and a selfie. Its rules also allow broader checks, including government-issued photo ID, facial scan, proof of address, or SSN validation; not every user will be asked for every item. See Onyx’s account verification help.
- Submit the request using the redemption flow in your signed-in account. The public help article does not specify every control on the submission screen, so follow the options shown in your account rather than relying on assumed button names.
- Track the request in your account. Use the redemption status to see whether it is pending, approved, canceled, or in error.
What each redemption status means
| Status | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Pending | The request is processing. Onyx’s help article says, “Pending → Processing; please allow time.” | Wait for an update. If you need to withdraw the request, you can cancel it while it is pending. |
| Approved | Funds have been sent. | Allow for bank or card issuer processing before expecting the payment to appear. |
| Canceled | The request was reversed. | Review the account and current eligibility before submitting another request. |
| Error | The request encountered an error. | Try again as indicated in the account. If the error remains, contact Onyx support through the account or official support channel. |
These status definitions come from Onyx’s “Where is My Redemption?” help article, updated September 26, 2025. “Approved” indicates Onyx has sent the funds; it is not confirmation that your bank or card issuer has posted them.

Cancel a pending redemption
Onyx’s help instructions for cancellation are: open your account, view pending redemptions, then cancel the redemption. Cancellation applies only while the request is pending. See “How to Cancel Redemption”, updated September 27, 2025.
How long a redemption can take
Onyx’s Sweepstakes Rules say payment can take up to 30 days in some circumstances and expressly do not guarantee processing times. Verification can add delay. Prizes of $500 or more may take longer because of security and fraud checks, or may be paid as multiple equivalent lump sums.

After Onyx marks a request approved, the bank or card issuer can affect when the funds arrive. Debit card redemption is available if you are eligible. The help center does not promise a typical end-to-end payout time, so use the account status rather than assuming a fixed delivery date.
Limits and location rules to check
The current Sweepstakes Rules allow one redemption request per account per five-day period. They state a $5,000 maximum per Sweepstakes Entry Period in Florida and reserve discretion for Onyx to set Onyx Cash redemption limits of $1,000 per week and $5,000 per month. These are rule-specific limits, not a guarantee that every request up to those amounts will be approved. Check the live rules and your account for the restrictions that apply to your location and entry period.

If you cannot redeem or the payment is delayed
- The balance is Virtual Coins: the Terms of Use say these are non-transferable and have no cash value.
- The balance is Sweeps Cash but no redemption is available: check that qualifying play-through and displayed-odds conditions are met, and confirm the winnings did not come from an excluded selection or game.
- Onyx requests verification: provide the requested, accurate information through the account process; incomplete or mismatched details can impede review.
- The request is pending: wait for processing, accounting for possible verification and payment-network timing. Cancel only if you intend to reverse a still-pending request.
- The request shows Error or remains unresolved: follow the account’s retry guidance and contact Onyx support if it persists.
For current availability, use Onyx’s location guidance and the live Sweepstakes Rules. State coverage and operational requirements can change.
