ONLYOFFICE Docs 9.2, announced on 2 December 2025, added AI-assisted grammar and spelling checks, customizable keyboard shortcuts, macro recording, a PDF redaction-color option, and new form-field labels and roles. These are version 9.2 features—not a description of the current Docs release: ONLYOFFICE announced Docs 9.3 on 24 February 2026.
What’s new in ONLYOFFICE Docs 9.2?
The update focuses on writing assistance and editor customization, plus changes to PDF editing and forms. The release announcement and official roadmap identify these additions:

How do I check grammar and spelling in ONLYOFFICE?
In Docs 9.2, grammar and spelling checks are accessed through the AI plugin. Configure the plugin first, then run a check on a full document or selected text. Review its suggestions individually; the announcement says suggestions may include explanations and can be accepted or rejected.

This is an assistive check, not a guarantee that a document is error-free. The release materials do not specify the AI provider, text-retention terms, supported languages, or availability in every deployment. Check the privacy and availability details for the particular plugin and Docs installation you use.
Can I customize ONLYOFFICE keyboard shortcuts?
Yes. In Docs 9.2, open File → Advanced Settings to set preferred key combinations. The release announcement does not provide a complete list of commands that can be remapped or explain how shortcut conflicts are handled, so the available choices may depend on the editor and configuration.
Can ONLYOFFICE record macros?
Docs 9.2 added macro recording in the document, spreadsheet, presentation, and form editors. In the editor, choose View → Record macro to start recording. The sources do not claim that every action can be recorded.
That scope matters if you plan to automate work involving graphical objects: the later Docs 9.3 announcement specifically describes expanded macro recording for shapes. Version 9.3 was announced on 24 February 2026; its announcement also said cloud availability would follow later. Consult the Docs 9.3 announcement for what changed after 9.2.
What changed in PDF redaction?
The Docs 9.2 PDF change is the ability to customize the color used for redacted text. That is a visual customization; the release description does not establish that redaction security or permanence was independently tested. Redacting text through a pop-up tool panel is listed among the later 9.3 changes, not the 9.2 change.
How do I add labels or roles to form fields?
In Docs 9.2, creators can add descriptive text labels to checkbox and radio-button fields and specify the role a newly inserted field is intended for. These additions provide ways to clarify fields and their intended respondents; the release materials do not report measured accessibility or form-completion outcomes.

No: ONLYOFFICE announced Docs 9.3 on 24 February 2026, so 9.2 should be treated as a dated release rather than the current version. The 9.3 announcement said cloud availability would follow later; an announcement date alone does not establish when a feature reached every deployment.
ONLYOFFICE describes Docs as usable on web, desktop, and mobile, and says its editors can be integrated into web-based platforms. The 9.2 announcement offered self-hosted Docs and a DocSpace cloud option. Those facts do not establish current prices, licensing terms, or feature parity between editions. For deployment context, consult the ONLYOFFICE FAQ and verify availability with the provider of your particular installation.
