Which display suits you better?
Choose realme for a curved 144 Hz screen
realme promotes the P4 Pro’s “144Hz HyperGlow 4D Curve+ Display.” Its higher stated refresh rate and curved design may appeal if those features are priorities. The official realme P4 Pro product page describes the display; the manufacturer’s phrasing is a product claim, not an independent image-quality assessment.
Choose OnePlus if 120 Hz and a non-curved screen fit your preference
OnePlus specifies a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate for the Nord CE 5. The available specifications do not establish which display looks better, is brighter in use, or is easier to see outdoors. Preference for a curved versus non-curved design and the refresh-rate difference are the clearest evidence-backed distinctions here.
Performance: Dimensity 8350 Apex or Snapdragon 7 Gen 4?
The OnePlus uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex, while the realme uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. The cited manufacturer pages establish those chip names, but they do not provide a controlled head-to-head test that proves which complete phone is faster. Do not treat different vendor benchmark claims as a direct comparison; actual results can depend on the app, software and test conditions.
Battery and charging
OnePlus lists a 7,100 mAh battery; realme specifies a 7,000 mAh typical capacity. Both list 80 W wired charging. The nominal 100 mAh difference is small, and capacity figures alone cannot establish which phone lasts longer between charges or how quickly it charges in real-world conditions.
Camera differences
Rear cameras
Both phones list a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. OnePlus identifies the Nord CE 5’s main sensor as Sony LYT-600, notes optical image stabilization, and lists 4K recording at 60 fps. These hardware details do not prove that its photos or video are better than the realme’s.
Selfies
The realme P4 Pro lists a 50 MP front camera. The reviewed OnePlus product information does not state a comparable front-camera resolution, so a resolution-based selfie comparison cannot be completed from these specifications alone. Megapixel counts also do not determine image quality on their own.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Software support and long-term use
OnePlus publishes four Android version updates and six years of security updates for the Nord CE 5 on its India product page. The reviewed realme P4 Pro pages do not establish a model-specific software-support commitment. That leaves the documented support comparison in OnePlus’s favor, but it does not prove that realme will provide no updates; check the manufacturer’s current support terms if update longevity is a deciding factor.
Which phone should you buy?
- Lean toward the realme P4 Pro if you prioritize its curved 144 Hz display and 50 MP front camera, and its live price is lower for the same storage configuration.
- Lean toward the OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G if you value its published four-Android-version and six-year security-update commitment, or prefer its slightly larger stated battery.
- Compare the exact variants before paying: the cited price gap is a snapshot, not a permanent difference, and does not guarantee that both prices refer to equivalent configurations or offers.
This is a specification-based recommendation, not a hands-on verdict. The cited sources do not establish a controlled head-to-head performance test, camera test or battery-life methodology that would support a definitive overall winner.
