The OnePlus N6 has the larger stated battery, a higher-resolution main camera and an IP65 rating; the OnePlus N6x costs less at the India prices reported on August 18, 2026, and adds a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Both list displays with refresh rates up to 120 Hz. Choose by the features and exact RAM/storage configuration you need: the reported prices are not a like-for-like comparison.

Which phone makes more sense for your priorities?
Choose the N6 for the larger stated battery
OnePlus lists the N6 at 8,000 mAh typical capacity (7,780 mAh rated), versus 7,000 mAh equivalent capacity for the N6x. Capacity alone does not predict how long a phone lasts for a particular person. OnePlus’s N6x “up to 2.5 days” statement is a manufacturer test-lab claim, not a guarantee of everyday battery life. The N6 page also describes its 60-month smooth-experience claim as passing fluency testing in OnePlus’s test lab; the company says this does not guarantee an absence of lag and that actual experience may vary.
Consider the N6 for its higher-resolution main-camera specification
The N6’s listed 50 MP main camera has more resolution on paper than the N6x’s 13 MP camera. Megapixel counts do not by themselves determine image quality, and the available specifications do not provide a controlled comparison of photos or video. OnePlus says 60 fps recording on the N6 is limited to its 6GB+128GB version, so check the variant if that capability matters.

Both list up to 120 Hz, but that is not a complete display comparison
OnePlus lists a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz for both phones. That shared figure does not establish that their panels have the same resolution, brightness, size or other display characteristics; those details are not established by the cited comparison information.

OnePlus lists the N6 as IP65 and the N6x as IP64. The N6 therefore has the higher listed ingress-protection rating, but neither rating is a promise that intentional submersion or rough treatment is safe. OnePlus warns that the N6x protection rating is based on controlled testing and real-world performance can vary. The cited pages also state MIL-STD-810H, but these claims should not be treated as a guarantee against damage in every environment.

The N6x has a documented wired-headphone advantage
91mobiles’ N6x launch report identifies a 3.5 mm headphone jack. That can be useful if you want to connect compatible wired earphones without relying on a wireless connection or an adapter. The report does not establish that earphones are included in the box.

OnePlus lists AnTuTu scores of 615,800+ for the N6’s 6GB+128GB configuration and 608,900+ for the N6x’s 4GB+128GB configuration. These are manufacturer lab results for different memory configurations, not a same-configuration controlled head-to-head test. They should not be used as proof of a meaningful everyday performance advantage. The cited material also does not establish full software-support durations or current N6x sale stock.
