Check the seller’s current listing for the exact RAM/storage variant, price, included charger and local availability. A higher megapixel count does not, by itself, prove better camera results.

Where the OnePlus 15R has the specification advantage
Processor tier and refresh rate
The comparison lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 for the 15R and a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 for the Redmi. It also lists a 165Hz display for OnePlus against 120Hz for Redmi; both screens are specified as 6.83-inch AMOLED panels. Those figures give the OnePlus the stronger paper specification for processor tier and maximum refresh rate, but they do not establish how either phone performs in a particular game or workload.
Selfie resolution and storage
The 15R listing shows a 32MP front camera compared with 16MP on the India Redmi configuration. It also shows 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage for OnePlus, while the comparison’s Redmi row is 128GB of UFS 2.2. Xiaomi’s Oman page lists additional Redmi configurations, so check the local model rather than assuming the India row applies everywhere. Resolution and storage type alone do not establish photo quality or day-to-day speed.

Battery capacity and price
The India comparison lists a 9,000mAh battery for Redmi versus 7,400mAh for OnePlus, alongside the lower displayed Redmi price. Xiaomi’s India product page specifies 67W charging and advertises “3.5+ days” of use on a charge for light use, based on the company’s internal laboratory testing; Xiaomi says actual results vary. That is a manufacturer claim, not an independent endurance result. The listing specifies 80W charging for OnePlus. Capacity and charging wattage do not alone determine real-world battery life or charging time.
Camera configuration
Both India comparison rows list a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The Redmi’s lower listed price and shared rear-camera resolution may appeal if those are the specifications you are comparing, but megapixels and camera counts are not evidence that image processing, low-light performance or video quality are equal.

What the displayed benchmark and battery tests say
91mobiles displays an AnTuTu score of 2,957,229 for the OnePlus 15R and 949,300 for the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G, as well as PCMark battery-test durations of 18 hours 13 minutes and 21 hours 55 minutes, respectively. These are figures from 91mobiles’ displayed tests, not results established here through independent testing. Test method, software version, firmware and conditions can affect outcomes. The PCMark figures are separate from Xiaomi’s internal-laboratory light-use claim and should not be compared as if they were the same kind of test.

Xiaomi’s official pages show that Redmi specifications vary by market. Xiaomi India lists the 9,000mAh battery, 67W charging, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, 50MP main and 8MP ultrawide cameras, along with four years of OS updates and six years of security patches. Xiaomi Oman instead specifies a typical battery capacity of 8,340mAh, 67W HyperCharge, a 16MP selfie camera, and 6GB+128GB or 8GB+256GB configurations. Its page also notes that some network-band and NFC details vary by market. See Xiaomi Oman’s specification page. The Oman battery figure and India battery figure describe different regional listings, not one specification that should be blended into a universal spec sheet.
Which phone should you choose?
Choose the OnePlus 15R if
- You prioritize the higher-tier processor listed in the comparison or a 165Hz refresh-rate specification.
- You want the listed 32MP front camera or a 256GB/512GB storage option.
- The ₹23,000 higher price in the captured India listings is acceptable for the specifications you value.
Choose the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G if
- You prioritize the lower price shown in the India comparison and the 9,000mAh India-listed battery.
- The 120Hz display and listed processor fit your needs without paying for the OnePlus specification differences.
- You have confirmed the battery, camera, storage, network compatibility and other details for the exact regional SKU on sale.
