Which phone is faster on paper?
The 15R’s listed Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform is the stronger of the two chipsets in this spec comparison. OnePlus also identifies LPDDR5X Ultra memory and UFS 4.1 storage for the 15R. The Nord CE 6 uses Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, according to its official product-page disclaimer. These specifications favor the 15R for demanding workloads, but they do not establish a measured difference in real-world speed, gaming performance or heat; no independent device testing is represented here.
Which phone has the better display?
The 15R has the higher listed refresh rate at 165 Hz, compared with 144 Hz for the Nord CE 6. Both are high-refresh displays, and the Nord CE 6 is specified as a 1.5K AMOLED panel. The 15R’s listed resolution is 1272 × 2800 on a 6.83-inch screen; the Nord CE 6’s is 2772 × 1272. Refresh rate and resolution alone do not establish brightness, color accuracy or outdoor visibility, so do not treat them as a complete display-quality verdict.

Does the Nord CE 6 battery last longer?
The Nord CE 6 has the larger rated capacity: 8,000 mAh versus 7,400 mAh in the 15R. Both are listed with 80 W charging, though OnePlus labels the CE 6 specification 80 W SUPERVOOC. Capacity does not by itself prove longer battery life: screen settings, signal strength, apps and usage affect runtime, and no directly comparable battery test is available here.
How do the cameras compare?
Both phones list a 50 MP main rear camera and a 32 MP front camera. The 15R’s rear setup includes an 8 MP ultrawide, while 91mobiles lists an additional 2 MP camera for the Nord CE 6. OnePlus specifies OIS for the 15R main camera and autofocus for its 32 MP front camera. These hardware details are not enough to name a camera winner: megapixel counts and component lists do not establish photo quality, and there is no controlled hands-on comparison here.

What about software updates and durability?
Software support
91mobiles lists four Android OS years and six security years for the 15R, compared with two Android OS years and four security years for the Nord CE 6. Because these durations come from a third-party comparison listing, confirm the applicable update policy with OnePlus before using them as a deciding factor. The official 15R page identifies OxygenOS 16; the cited official CE 6 information does not establish its software-support duration.
Water and dust resistance
OnePlus lists IP66, IP68 and IP69 test conditions for the Nord CE 6 and describes IP ratings for the 15R. A rating is not a promise that a phone is waterproof under every circumstance. OnePlus warns that water resistance can diminish with normal wear; its CE 6 guidance is for fresh water and cautions against sea water and professional diving. Check each model’s official page for its specific rating conditions, and avoid deliberate immersion.
Which one should you buy?
Choose the OnePlus 15R if
- You prioritize the stronger chipset specification, LPDDR5X Ultra memory, or UFS 4.1 storage.
- You want the higher listed 165 Hz refresh rate.
- You value a dedicated 8 MP ultrawide camera specification and are comfortable paying more at the listed snapshot price.
Choose the Nord CE 6 5G if
- You want the lower price in the accessed India listing and a high-refresh AMOLED display.
- You prioritize the larger 8,000 mAh rated battery.
- You do not need the 15R’s higher-end listed chipset and storage specifications.
Before ordering either model, compare the exact RAM/storage variant, seller, stock and current price. The 91mobiles summary compares 256 GB for the 15R with 128 GB for the CE 6, so a headline price comparison may not represent equivalent configurations.
