For India, this comparison is between the OnePlus 13 and the OPPO Reno16 5G (model CPH2865). The OnePlus lists a higher-tier Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, a larger and higher-resolution display, and a 512GB storage option; the Reno16 lists a larger battery capacity and a 3.5x optical telephoto camera with OIS. OPPO’s later price snapshot puts the Reno16 below OnePlus’s listed 16GB/512GB price, but those figures are for different storage configurations and dates, not a matched live-price comparison.
Confirm which OPPO Reno16 you mean
OPPO’s India comparison model is the Reno16 5G, model CPH2865. It is not the Reno16c 5G (CPH2859), and OPPO says models sold in other markets can have different specifications and prices. Check the model code on the retailer listing before comparing: OPPO India’s Reno16 details.
The specifications below use OnePlus’s global specification page for the OnePlus 13 and OPPO’s India page for the Reno16. OnePlus also has an India specification page with an India price listing; a global configuration and an India retail listing should not be assumed to be interchangeable.

Which phone has the better display?
The OnePlus 13 has the larger listed display at 6.82 inches and the higher resolution at QHD+ (3168 × 1440). Its LTPO 4.1 panel has a dynamic 1–120Hz refresh rate. OPPO lists the Reno16’s display as 16.05cm (about 6.32 inches), FHD+ (2640 × 1216), AMOLED and up to 120Hz.
On specifications alone, the OnePlus offers more screen area and pixel resolution. Refresh-rate figures do not describe every aspect of display quality, and these specification pages do not provide a hands-on comparison of brightness, color accuracy or viewing experience.
Performance: what the chipset specifications establish
The OnePlus 13 is specified with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the India Reno16 uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. That places the OnePlus on the higher-tier platform in the listed specifications, but it is not a measured speed result. The cited material does not provide benchmark scores or controlled real-world tests, so it cannot establish how much faster one feels in particular apps or games.
Camera comparison: three 50MP cameras each, different details
Both official specification sets list three 50MP rear cameras. OPPO gives a specific optical zoom figure for the Reno16: its telephoto camera is 3.5x optical and has optical image stabilization (OIS). The OnePlus global page lists a 50MP main, ultrawide and telephoto system, but the cited comparison does not establish a directly equivalent telephoto zoom figure.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsMegapixel counts describe resolution, not the final quality of photos. The official specifications cited here do not provide independent side-by-side photo tests, so they are not enough to declare a camera winner.
Battery and charging: capacity is not runtime
OPPO lists the Reno16 battery at 6,700mAh typical and 6,490mAh rated; OnePlus lists 6,000mAh for the OnePlus 13. The Reno16 therefore has the higher stated capacity, but capacity alone does not establish which phone lasts longer under the same use.
OnePlus lists 100W SUPERVOOC wired and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging; OPPO lists 80W SUPERVOOC for the Reno16. The cited pages do not establish a matched charging-time test or whether the same adapter is included in every market or retail package. Check the India package details before buying, particularly if the included charger matters to you.

Durability and memory: notable specification differences
Water and dust resistance
OPPO lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for the India Reno16. The cited OnePlus specification result does not establish a directly comparable rating, so the figures do not support a controlled head-to-head durability verdict.
RAM and storage
The OnePlus global page lists 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB configurations. OPPO lists the India Reno16 in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB configurations, with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 3.1 storage. The OnePlus page therefore lists a 512GB option, while both Reno16 configurations listed here have 256GB storage.

OPPO’s launch announcement, dated 2 July 2026, said sales would begin on 9 July through Amazon, Flipkart, mainline retail and the OPPO e-store: OPPO India’s launch announcement. Its later product-details page gives the 31 August 2026 snapshot. Do not combine the launch figures and later figures as though they were one price list.
OnePlus India lists ₹76,999 for the 16GB/512GB model on its India specification page. That is more storage than either Reno16 configuration in OPPO’s India listing, and the cited figures do not establish current transaction prices for matched configurations. Check retailer prices for the same RAM and storage, market, seller and date before deciding which costs less.
Which is better, OnePlus 13 or OPPO Reno16?
Choose based on the trade-off that matters to you rather than treating either specification sheet as a complete review.
- Consider the OnePlus 13 if the listed Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, larger QHD+ display, wireless charging or 16GB/512GB configuration is your priority.
- Consider the India Reno16 5G if its listed 3.5x optical telephoto with OIS, higher stated battery capacity, IP ratings or a 256GB configuration better fits your needs.
- For value, compare live matched listings. The available official price figures differ by date and storage configuration; confirm the Reno16 model code (CPH2865) and retailer terms as well as the price.
Neither manufacturer specification page establishes a winner for actual speed, camera quality, endurance or toughness. Those questions require comparable testing beyond the figures listed here.
