The published guides consulted for this puzzle disagree about the five theme words, so this article does not present a definitive word list.
For Friday, March 6, 2026, NYT Strands game #733 has the theme clue “That’s dedication” and the 14-letter spangram YOURBIGGESTFAN.
Today’s NYT Strands theme clue
The clue is “That’s dedication.” Look for nouns describing a committed supporter or admirer—someone who shows loyalty or enthusiasm for a person, cause, or interest.
Today’s NYT Strands spangram
The spangram is YOURBIGGESTFAN (14 letters). It captures the idea of a devoted supporter and is reported consistently by the consulted answer guides: TechRadar, Strands Today, WePC, and PC Guide.

Are the five theme-word answers confirmed?
No. The guides give conflicting lists, and the NYT game page was not accessible to verify the completed board. TechRadar and PC Guide report ENTHUSIAST, MANIAC, ADMIRER, DEVOTEE, and STAN. WePC reports LOVER, STAN, DEVOTEE, ENTHUSIAST, and FOLLOWER. Strands Today’s first-three-letter hints—DEV, ENT, FOL, LOV, STA—point toward the second set, but its accessible page does not show a complete answer list. These clues are not enough to resolve the disagreement, so neither list should be treated as definitive.
How Strands hints work
Strands uses a 6-by-8 letter grid. Connect adjacent letters in any direction to form theme words; the spangram summarizes the theme and spans the grid. Finding three non-theme words unlocks an in-game hint that reveals letters belonging to a theme word.
Guides also disagree about sample non-theme words: TechRadar and PC Guide list DIGGER, DIGGERS, BIGGER, SEAT, NOTE, and NOTED, while WePC lists LENS, TONE, NOTE, SEND, ROVE, and DOVE. Treat those as reported examples, not a verified list for the board.
