For the New York-calendar NYT Pips puzzle dated October 2, 2026, the Hard board is #1354 and uses 15 dominoes. A spoiler-safe starting hint: anchor the double-five near the top, then place the 5–6 bridge before working up the right edge. The full placement list is below; check the date and difficulty before reading it, because Pips has separate Easy, Medium, and Hard boards each day.
How to play NYT Pips
Place the supplied dominoes on the board so every marked region meets its condition. A region may require equal values, a target sum, or values above or below a limit. Dominoes can cross region boundaries, and you can rotate a tile to fit the available spaces. See Tom’s Guide’s Pips rules overview.
Opening hint for Hard #1354

Coordinates use [row, column], with [0,0] at the top-left. Within each pair, the coordinates follow the listed domino values in order. The October 2, 2026 New York-calendar set is Easy #1328, Medium #1344, and Hard #1354.
