NTTの大規模言語モデル「tsuzumi 2」は、2025年10月20日に日本で提供が始まりました。NTTは30Bパラメーターの同モデルについて、日本語性能など一部の評価指標でChatGPTのGPT-4oに匹敵する結果を示したとしています。ただし、これは開発時に行った特定評価の比較であり、あらゆる用途でGPT-4oと同等という意味ではありません。
tsuzumi 2はいつ公開された？
NTTは2025年10月20日、tsuzumi 2の提供を開始しました。発表時点の対象は日本で、これから公開されるモデルではなく、すでに提供が始まっている製品です。NTTの提供開始発表では、企業や自治体での利用を想定したモデルとして紹介されています。
GPT-4oに「匹敵する」とは何を指すのか
NTTの2025年投資家向け資料は、30B（300億）パラメーターのtsuzumi 2について、llm-jp-evalにおける日本語性能、文脈処理、文章理解に関する指標をGPT-4oなどと比較しています。NTTは日本語性能で同規模モデルの中で世界トップ級と説明していますが、比較結果は開発時の評価として示されたものです。NTTの投資家向け資料
したがって「GPT-4oに匹敵」は、選ばれた日本語関連指標でのNTT発表に限って読む必要があります。会話、コーディング、画像理解、事実の正確さなど、すべての能力を横断して同等と示す独立評価は、示された資料からは確認できません。ベンチマークの点数だけで、自社業務での品質まで予測することもできません。

NTTの資料では、社内問い合わせへの回答にRAGを使った内部試験で、従来の7B版tsuzumiと比べて回答精度が約4倍になったと報告されています。この値はその問い合わせ応答試験に関するNTTの結果であり、他のタスクや導入先でも精度が4倍になるという一般的な保証ではありません。

単一GPU推論とローカル配置
NTTは、tsuzumi 2が単一GPUで推論でき、オンプレミスやプライベートクラウドにも配置できると説明しています。機密情報を扱う組織や、既存システム内でモデルを運用したい組織にとって選択肢になり得ます。ただし、発表資料には対応する市販GPUの型番、必要メモリー、サーバー構成は示されていません。また、ローカル配置だけでセキュリティが保証されるわけではなく、アクセス制御やログ、データ保持、運用責任などの条件確認が必要です。

NTTは2026年5月19日、業務文書の画像に含まれるチャート、表、グラフを理解する更新を発表しました。数値の処理や、API文書など技術文書に含まれる関数の解釈も改善するとしています。たとえば、技術サポート文書の原因分析フローチャートを読み取る用途が挙げられています。これはテキスト中心の文書処理から、図表を含む文書の理解へ対応を広げる更新です。NTTの2026年5月発表

- 評価したい業務：日本語ベンチマークの結果と、社内文書検索や問い合わせ対応など実業務での品質は分けて検証します。
- 必要な適応：RAGやファインチューニングが必要か、どのデータを使うか、回答をどう評価するかを決めます。
- 配置とハードウェア：オンプレミス、プライベートクラウドなどの選択肢に加え、具体的なGPU、メモリー、サーバー要件をNTTに確認します。単一GPUで動作するという説明だけでは機器を選定できません。
- 情報管理：データの保存・処理場所、アクセス権、ログ、保守時の扱いを含む契約上・運用上の条件を確認します。
- 図表の読み取り：2026年更新の機能が自社環境で利用可能か、対象文書や展開状況を確認したうえで、実際の帳票・技術文書で精度を試します。
