Nozomi Networks announced the general availability of its Mandiant-powered Threat Intelligence (TI) Expansion Pack on August 28, 2024. It brings Nozomi and Mandiant threat intelligence into Nozomi’s Vantage platform, where Vantage Threat Cards organize threat details and mitigation suggestions for security teams working across IT, operational technology (OT) and IoT. The announcement describes product capabilities, not independently measured improvements in detection or response.
What the TI Expansion Pack adds
The Expansion Pack combines Nozomi Networks threat intelligence with Mandiant Threat Intelligence for industrial and enterprise security contexts. Nozomi describes the added intelligence as including “Millions of new Indicators of Compromise (IoCs)”; that is the company’s description, not an independently audited count.
In Vantage, the information is surfaced through Threat Cards. Nozomi says a card can group a threat description, exploitation status, targeted industries and mitigation suggestions. Its current product materials also describe vulnerability insights and ongoing updates. These are vendor-described functions; the available sources do not quantify their accuracy or operational effect.

Threat Cards are intended to put related threat information together so analysts can review it in the context of Nozomi’s security workflows. The described fields help answer different questions:

- Mitigation suggestions: What actions does the intelligence recommend considering?
The announcement does not establish that every card contains every field, nor does it specify how recommendations are prioritized or validated for a particular plant, asset or network.
How Mandiant intelligence fits into OT security
Industrial organizations often need to assess cyber threats against environments where asset visibility, protocols and operational constraints differ from conventional IT. The Expansion Pack’s stated purpose is to add threat context to Nozomi’s existing IT, OT and IoT security workflows. The practical value for a buyer depends on whether the intelligence and mitigation context are relevant to the organization’s actual assets and how readily analysts can use them in their existing response process.

The partnership predates the product announcement. Nozomi said in February 2023 that the expanded relationship, which it said began in 2016, included more Nozomi-certified experts on Mandiant’s OT incident-response team, use of Nozomi tools in forensic analysis, intelligence sharing and joint research. The announcement also described plans for custom incident-response and assessment programs for joint customers; it does not establish that every planned service launched or remains available.

No independent study or head-to-head performance statistic for the Expansion Pack is established by the available sources. Claims about faster response, fewer false positives or improved detection should therefore be treated as unverified outcomes, not proven results.

Keep the N2OS release context separate
Nozomi’s N2OS 24.4.0 release notes cover the Mandiant-powered Expansion Pack and Threat Cards within a broader software release. The same release context includes data-diode support for centralized monitoring and R-GOOSE protocol decryption. Those are separate release features, not benefits exclusive to the Mandiant integration, and the release notes do not establish that they are present in every current configuration.
Nozomi’s June 2026 description of its broader Threat Intelligence service discusses YARA, packet and SIGMA rules, STIX data and vulnerability metadata delivered to Guardian sensors, Arc sensors and the Vantage SaaS platform, as well as a separate feed for SIEM or SOAR integration. Those delivery paths describe the broader service; they should not be assumed to be specific entitlements or integrations included with the 2024 TI Expansion Pack announcement.

How buyers should evaluate the offering
For an organization considering the Expansion Pack, the key question is whether its intelligence improves the decisions analysts need to make in their own environment. Ask Nozomi or the reseller to demonstrate the following against representative assets and workflows:
