Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteThe Nothing Phone (3) is a distinctive Android phone with a playful software identity, a genuinely unusual Glyph Matrix and a more versatile four-camera setup than earlier Nothing phones. Its Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and inconsistent camera results, however, make it harder to justify at its original flagship-style price. It is most appealing if you value Nothing’s design and interface; it is less compelling if your priority is top-tier performance or consistently excellent photography.
What is different about the Nothing Phone (3)?
Nothing’s third-generation flagship stands out chiefly through its Glyph Matrix: a small rear display that extends the company’s light-based Glyph interface into a more flexible visual feature. Paired with Nothing OS, it gives the phone an identity that feels less interchangeable with conventional Android designs. The phone also adds a four-camera system, including a 3x telephoto camera, and Nothing’s Essential Search feature. Nothing’s US product page presents these as central parts of the device.
The appeal is not just a list of specifications. The Glyph Matrix and software are the reasons to consider the Phone (3) over a more conventional alternative. If those touches do not matter to you, its less distinctive performance and camera strengths become more important to the buying decision.
How much does the Nothing Phone (3) cost?
Price depends on market, storage configuration and date. In the US, Tom’s Guide reported launch pricing of $799 for 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage, and $899 for 16GB and 512GB. When Nothing’s US product page was accessed on October 8, 2026, it showed the 12GB/256GB configuration at $549. That is a point-in-time listing, not a claim about a permanent price or availability; check the current US product page for the configuration and offer available to you.

Omdia’s July 2025 overview reported a UK starting price of £799. That is historical market context, not a current UK quote. Prices in different regions should not be treated as interchangeable.
Is the Phone (3) screen and design good?
Omdia reported a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness. Those are reported specifications, not an independent measurement of how bright the screen looks in everyday conditions. The high refresh rate supports smooth scrolling, while the Glyph Matrix supplies the phone’s most visibly unusual design feature.

The available reviews offer a more useful picture of trade-offs than the headline brightness number alone: screen visibility is one comparison to consider alongside software, camera consistency and sustained performance. Omdia’s overview is available in its July 2025 smartphone overview.
How good are the Nothing Phone (3) cameras?
The four cameras are each listed at 50MP, and the system adds a 3x telephoto option. The extra reach makes the camera setup more useful than one built around main and ultrawide cameras alone. Tom’s Guide praised the telephoto camera’s reach and macro function. But a 50MP count does not guarantee better images, and reviewers did not find the phone consistently competitive with leading rivals.

Tom’s Guide said photography remained a weak area for Nothing’s flagship phones in comparisons. Android Central considered this the best camera system among Nothing phones at the time of its review, while noting that Chinese rivals could do better. Those are review-specific judgments, not a single universal camera ranking. If you take lots of photos, compare real-world consistency and low-light performance—not just camera count—against the phone you are considering.
Is performance good enough for a flagship?
The Phone (3) uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, a step below the Snapdragon 8 Elite found in some premium rivals. Reported performance tests show a gap between the chips, and Android Central cited the processor as one reason the Phone (3) makes a weaker flagship case at its $799 US launch price.

- Full visibility and usage of Glyph Interface lights
- Anti-slip embossed texture for a secure grip
- Non-yellowing TPU bumper and polycarbonate back
- Supports wireless charging
- Built-in strap holes to attach wrist straps and other accessories
That gap does not mean the phone is slow in ordinary use. Tom’s Guide reported playing Ex Astris at 60 frames per second on maximum settings without a frame-rate drop in its test, although the reviewer noticed heat near the top left of the phone. Android Central also reported elevated temperatures during a 3DMark endurance test. These reports suggest the distinction to watch is sustained heavy use and heat, rather than assuming everyday tasks will feel sluggish.
How long does the battery last, and does it come with a charger?
Nothing Support lists a 5,150mAh battery for the Phone (3) and recommends PPS charging. Tom’s Guide reported that its review test used 22% of the battery after three hours of YouTube playback. That is one outlet’s test result, not a general estimate of battery life; your screen brightness, signal and usage will affect endurance. Omdia reported a 5,500mAh battery for India, so the standard capacity should not be assumed to apply to every regional variant.

Whether a charger is included depends on the package and region. Android Central said its review package did not include a charger. Nothing Support’s box-contents listing names the phone, user and safety guides, a pre-applied screen protector, SIM tray ejector and protective case, but does not list a charger. Confirm the contents with the seller for the specific market and bundle before buying; if you need an adapter, Nothing recommends a PPS charger.

| Area | What works in its favor | What to weigh |
|---|---|---|
| Design and software | Glyph Matrix and Nothing OS give the phone a distinctive identity; Android Central described the software as clean and playful. | The distinctive interface is a real benefit mainly if you like Nothing’s approach. |
| Cameras | Four 50MP cameras include a 3x telephoto, with useful reach and macro capability noted by Tom’s Guide. | Reviews found image quality competitive in some situations but behind leading rivals in others. |
| Performance | Tom’s Guide reported smooth gameplay in its tested situation. | The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 trails the Snapdragon 8 Elite; reviewers also noted heat under demanding or sustained loads. |
| Battery and box | The listed standard battery is 5,150mAh, and Nothing lists a case and pre-applied screen protector in the box. | Capacity and package contents vary by region or bundle; a charger is not assured. |
Should you buy the Nothing Phone (3)?
Consider it if Nothing’s design, Glyph Matrix and software are the features you want, and the current price in your market makes sense to you. Its telephoto camera adds useful flexibility, and reviewer reports show it can handle demanding play smoothly in at least some tested situations.
Look at alternatives if camera consistency, sustained performance or flagship-level results matter more than the Nothing identity. Tom’s Guide concluded that the phone had generally strong hardware and excellent software for its price, but did not outperform the Galaxy S25 or Pixel 9 overall. Android Central likewise argued that the processor and omissions such as IP69 water resistance weakened the flagship case at the $799 US launch price. Those verdicts concern the reviews’ context and launch pricing; reassess the trade-off against the price and competing models where you are shopping.
