NetSuite’s July 15, 2026, NetSuite Next rollout announcement adds AI capabilities to its enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform, led by Ask Oracle, a natural-language assistant for working with business data and common tasks. The announcement’s broad aim is to help teams find answers faster, reduce manual effort, and act with more confidence; which features a customer can use depends on the capability, region, and account access settings.
What NetSuite announced
NetSuite’s newsroom listed the rollout on July 15, 2026, under the title “NetSuite Next Rollout Begins; Ask Oracle and New AI Capabilities Added to NetSuite.” NetSuite Next is an updated ERP experience built on the existing platform, not a separate consumer AI product. NetSuite describes it as combining Ask Oracle, embedded AI, agents, and a redesigned user experience. Its product materials highlight accounting, close management, multi-entity management, metrics and reporting, customer management, and inventory. NetSuite newsroom | NetSuite Artificial Intelligence
The announcement describes the intended outcome, rather than documenting a measurable productivity result. It does not provide a rollout-specific statistic or a named executive quote establishing how much time or effort customers will save.
What Ask Oracle can do
NetSuite’s 2026 Release 2 overview describes Ask Oracle as a natural-language assistant that lets users ask questions about business data. Its documented tasks include generating reports, surfacing insights, navigating records, and completing everyday work. In practical terms, the feature is intended to let users ask for information or actions in ordinary language rather than rely solely on manual searches and navigation. #1 Best Overall
NetSuite says Ask Oracle cites data sources and lets users check and correct answers. Treat that as the vendor’s description of the feature: users should verify important answers against the cited records and their business processes rather than assume that an AI-generated response is automatically correct. Availability depends on the feature and region
The 2026 Release 2 overview specifically says Ask Oracle is available to customers in the United States and Canada, with additional countries coming soon. That statement does not establish availability elsewhere or give a date for expansion. NetSuite 2026 Release 2 overview

Oracle’s August 2026.2 minor-release documentation separately says Text Enhance, Prompt Studio, and SuiteScript 2.1 N/llm expanded to all regions where NetSuite is supported. These are distinct capabilities; their broader regional availability does not mean Ask Oracle is available in every NetSuite region. Oracle NetSuite August Minor Release documentation
Because availability is feature- and account-specific, customers should confirm which capabilities are enabled for their region and account with NetSuite or Oracle before planning a rollout.

How administrators can manage access and evaluation
Oracle’s August 2026.2 documentation covers controls and audit details relevant to deployment:
- Role access: Administrators can manage which roles have access to Ask Oracle and NetSuite Next.
- Preview accounts: Preview accounts use copies of NetSuite data, allowing users to explore the AI-powered experience without changing the main account.
- System Notes: System Notes can identify record changes made using AI features, including Ask Oracle actions in NetSuite Next and custom tools invoked through the NetSuite AI Connector Service.
NetSuite also says AI in NetSuite Next respects existing user roles and permissions. This is the vendor’s description, not an independent security assessment; organizations should review their own role configuration and controls before enabling access. Moving from the current experience to NetSuite Next
NetSuite says customers can switch to NetSuite Next without data migration or reimplementation. That describes the product transition at a high level; it does not establish that every account, feature, customization, or integration is ready without configuration or review. Businesses evaluating a move should confirm account readiness and feature availability with NetSuite, and consider whether their existing implementation or SuiteCloud integrations need attention. NetSuite’s FAQ says NetSuite Next follows the same annual subscription licensing model as NetSuite. The cost depends on the core industry platform, optional modules, and number of users; new customers also pay a one-time implementation fee. The FAQ publishes no universal price, so a specific estimate requires a quote based on the organization’s requirements. NetSuite Artificial Intelligence
