The Motorola Signature is the stronger pick on published hardware and longevity claims: it has a newer flagship-class chipset, a 3× optical periscope camera, wireless charging and a stated support period of up to seven years. The HONOR 90 is an older, midrange-oriented option whose 200MP main-camera hardware and curved 120Hz display may appeal if you find it at a substantially lower price. There is no verified like-for-like rating comparison, and the available prices are from different countries, so neither establishes an overall value winner.

Price: the available figures are not a fair head-to-head

The prices below are dated observations, not guaranteed checkout prices. They cover different markets and configurations, so they should not be used to declare one phone cheaper overall.

The available evidence did not establish a current HONOR 90 price in India. To compare cost fairly, check both phones in the same market, at the same time, with equivalent storage, condition and warranty. A promotional UK offer is not directly comparable with an India listing.

Performance and display: newer silicon versus a capable older panel

On paper, the Signature has the higher-tier platform: Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage. The HONOR 90 uses Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition. This makes the Signature the more compelling specification choice for demanding apps and a buyer prioritizing newer flagship-class hardware, but the listed components are not a substitute for matched benchmarks or real-world testing.

The Signature also specifies a larger, higher-refresh-rate LTPO display with Dolby Vision and HDR10+. HONOR’s panel is slightly smaller and tops out at 120Hz. Brightness claims of up to 6200 nits and 1600 nits come from the respective manufacturers and should not be treated as a controlled, directly comparable measurement.

Cameras: optical zoom or a high-resolution main sensor

The Signature’s three 50MP rear cameras include a dedicated 3× optical periscope telephoto lens, with OIS listed for the main and telephoto cameras. That gives it a clearly specified optical-zoom option. The HONOR 90 instead centers its system on a 200MP main camera, supported by a 12MP ultrawide/macro camera and a 2MP depth camera; HONOR lists 4K video recording.

Megapixel count alone does not establish which phone takes better photos. The specifications support a comparison of camera hardware, not image quality; sample images and independent testing would be needed to judge detail, color, low-light performance and video quality.

Battery, charging and everyday durability

Motorola lists a 5200mAh battery, up to 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, plus reverse charging. HONOR lists a 5000mAh typical battery (4900mAh rated) and 66W wired charging. The Signature is the only one of these two with wireless charging specified in the cited material. Battery capacities do not establish which lasts longer: runtime depends on the display, chipset, software and usage, among other factors.

Motorola also lists IP68/IP69 protection and MIL-STD 810H for the Signature. The consulted HONOR UK specification sheet does not confirm an equivalent rating; that is not proof that the phone has no protection. Check the exact model and regional documentation for the device you plan to buy.

Software support and regional checks

Motorola states that the Signature can receive up to seven years of OS upgrades and security patches. The consulted HONOR 90 material does not establish a comparable support commitment, so buyers should verify the policy for their region and exact variant rather than assume it matches Motorola’s stated period.

For the Signature, Motorola India lists Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC and dual SIM using nano-SIM plus eSIM, and notes that specifications can vary by market. Before ordering either phone, confirm the local SKU, carrier-band compatibility, eSIM availability, warranty terms and service options. Motorola India support specifications

Ratings: no reliable matched score pair is available

The available sources do not establish a numerical rating pair from the same publication, scale and methodology for both phones. Retailer stars and review scores from different outlets or dates are not directly comparable, so this comparison does not invent or combine ratings. One source provides battery-test and benchmark context for the HONOR 90, but not a matched Signature-versus-HONOR 90 rating. 91mobiles HONOR 90 page

Quick Recap

Which phone should you choose?

  • Choose the Motorola Signature if you prioritize the newer flagship-class chipset, a dedicated 3× optical periscope camera, wireless charging, Motorola’s stated durability ratings or its up-to-seven-year support claim.
  • Consider the HONOR 90 if its curved 120Hz display and 200MP main-camera hardware suit your needs and you can verify a meaningfully lower local price for the storage variant and warranty you want.
  • Wait to decide on value if price is the deciding factor: check current local checkout prices for both phones on an equivalent basis. The observed India Signature listings and UK HONOR offer do not determine which is better value in your market.
