Display: larger screen or sharper resolution?
The POCO M8 5G has the larger listed panel at 6.77 inches, compared with 6.67 inches on the Edge 60 Fusion. Motorola lists a higher 2712 × 1220 resolution, which it describes as 1.5K; POCO lists 2392 × 1080. Both specifications state a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Choose based on whether screen area or resolution matters more to you; these specifications do not by themselves establish brightness, color accuracy or real-world smoothness.

Cameras: an ultra-wide lens versus a depth sensor
The most notable difference in the listed rear-camera configurations is lens type. The Edge 60 Fusion is listed by 91mobiles with a 50 MP main camera and a 13 MP ultra-wide camera. POCO lists a 50 MP Light Fusion 400 main camera and a 2 MP depth camera. An ultra-wide gives you a different field of view for landscapes and group shots; a depth sensor serves a different purpose and is not an equivalent extra shooting perspective. The available specifications do not settle which phone takes better photos.
For selfies, 91mobiles lists a 32 MP front camera on the Motorola and POCO lists 20 MP for the M8 5G. Those resolution figures are not a reliable stand-alone quality ranking.

Battery and charging: nearly equal capacity, different charge rates
POCO lists a 5,520 mAh battery, just 20 mAh more than Motorola’s 5,500 mAh figure. The more meaningful stated difference is wired charging: Motorola lists 68 W TurboPower, while POCO lists 45 W turbo charging. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent tests of charging time or battery life; actual results can depend on usage, settings and charging conditions.
Durability: understand the protection ratings
Motorola lists IP68/69 protection, Gorilla Glass 7i and an MIL-STD-810H certification claim for the Edge 60 Fusion. POCO lists IP66 for the M8 5G and says its rating is based on controlled test conditions. Neither rating makes a phone indestructible. POCO expressly warns against immersion, and water resistance can be affected by wear or damage; do not treat either phone as safe for deliberate submersion.

NFC, SIMs and expandable storage
The India Edge 60 Fusion specification page says NFC is not available, while POCO’s global M8 5G page lists NFC. Because the pages describe different market scopes, check the exact local SKU if contactless payments or transit access matter.
Motorola lists 256 GB of internal storage and microSD expansion up to 1 TB, alongside dual physical SIM support for India. POCO uses a hybrid tray: you can use a second nano-SIM or a microSD card in that slot, but not both at once. That makes Motorola’s listed arrangement more flexible for someone who wants two physical SIMs and expandable storage simultaneously.

Software and update commitments
Motorola lists Android 15, three OS upgrades and four years of security maintenance for the Edge 60 Fusion. POCO’s cited global page lists HyperOS 2 for the M8 5G but does not establish a comparable update commitment in the cited specifications. Confirm support terms for your local variant and purchase date if long-term updates are a deciding factor.

At the time of the cited 91mobiles comparison, its page showed the Edge 60 Fusion at ₹20,900 on Amazon and the POCO M8 at ₹24,999 on Amazon—a ₹4,099 difference, with the POCO higher. These are observed listing prices, not guaranteed current prices or proof that the storage configurations match. Motorola’s family page separately surfaced an Edge 60 Fusion 12/256 GB at ₹29,999, illustrating why model configuration and listing context matter. Which phone should you buy?
- Choose the Edge 60 Fusion if you value its higher-resolution 1.5K display, listed ultra-wide camera, faster 68 W charging, dual physical SIMs plus microSD support, or its stated India update commitment.
- Consider the POCO M8 5G if you want the larger listed display, NFC on the global specification sheet, or a slightly higher nominal battery capacity—and its hybrid SIM arrangement and local price suit you.
- Verify before ordering if NFC, water resistance, a specific SIM setup, software support or the exact price is essential. The manufacturer pages differ in market scope, and the price snapshot can change.
The chipset names alone are not enough to call a performance winner, and the cited specifications and price listings do not provide controlled, independent comparisons of performance, battery life or camera quality. Base the choice on the features that matter to you and the live price for matching configurations.
