Which phone has the better display?
The Moto G96 has the display advantage on listed resolution and refresh rate: it is Full HD+ and supports up to 144Hz, while the K14x is HD+ and supports up to 120Hz. The OPPO screen is slightly larger at 6.75 inches compared with 6.67 inches.
Both manufacturers publish peak-brightness figures, but those figures alone do not show how readable either screen is outdoors or how the panels compare in actual use. Choose the G96 if sharper detail and the higher refresh ceiling matter more than the K14x’s slightly larger screen.

What do the IP68 and IP64 ratings mean?
The stated ratings are IP68 for the G96 and IP64 for the K14x. They are different classifications, not a guarantee that a phone is indestructible or immune to damage. Treat neither rating as permission to expose a device to water or dust beyond its documented limits; consult the relevant manufacturer guidance for the exact Indian model.
Which phone is better for performance and updates?
The G96 uses a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, while the K14x uses a Dimensity 6300. Chip names alone do not establish sustained gaming performance, heat behavior or responsiveness, and no controlled head-to-head benchmark is available here.

OPPO’s K14x launch material describes ColorOS 15 and a 48-month “Fluency Protection” internal test claim; that is not a promise of 48 months of Android version or security updates.
