Motorola India calls the second phone “moto g max,” not “moto g max 5G”; its support specifications confirm sub-6 5G. Check the exact model and configuration in your market, since names and specifications can vary by region.

Where the phones differ
Processor and memory options
The g67 power uses a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, while the g max uses a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4. Those names alone do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use or under sustained workloads; no comparable independent benchmark results are available here. For memory, Motorola’s g67 support page lists 8 GB RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB storage, while the India product page presents 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB variants. The g max support listing specifies 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Compare the exact configuration and price on the checkout listing rather than assuming every g67 listing has the same memory.
Software versions
Motorola’s India support specifications list Android 15 for the g67 power and Android 16 for the g max. These are the versions stated on those pages; they do not by themselves establish each phone’s current installed version, update schedule or long-term support policy. Check the regional product and support information for the exact SKU before purchase.

Display and durability
Both use a Full HD+ LCD with a 120 Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 7i. The g max screen is listed as 6.72 inches and the g67 power’s as 6.7 inches, a small difference in stated diagonal size. Both have an IP64 water-resistance rating; this is not a claim that either phone is waterproof or suitable for immersion. Motorola also lists MIL-STD-810H compliance for the g max. That specification should not be read as a guarantee against damage in every drop or environment.
Cameras and audio
Motorola lists the same rear-camera configuration on both: a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 600 main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide, plus a 32 MP front camera. Resolution and component names do not establish which takes better photos or video; that requires comparable camera testing. Both listings specify stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and a 3.5 mm headset connection, though buyers should confirm regional SKU details.

Battery: matching specifications, no proven endurance winner
Motorola lists a 7,000 mAh battery and 30 W charging for each phone; the g max page calls its charging TurboPower. These matching capacity and wattage figures do not establish equal battery life or charging time. Usage, software, network conditions and testing method affect real results, and no independent endurance comparison is available here. Do not choose one on the assumption that it lasts longer based on these specifications alone.
Which one should you buy?
- Consider the moto g67 power 5G if the specific listing offers the memory configuration you want, particularly the 12/256 GB variant shown on Motorola India’s product page. Its Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is a different chipset from the g max’s, but the available specs do not prove a real-world speed advantage.
- Consider the moto g max if its Android 16 listing, MIL-STD-810H compliance or 6/128 GB configuration better fits your priorities. The compliance label is not a promise that the phone cannot be damaged.
- Compare the checkout price and exact model before deciding. At the October 4, 2026 snapshot, the listed prices matched, but retail prices and stock can change.
Why some online comparisons show different g max specifications
A third-party Gadgets 360 comparison listing identifies a different set of g max specifications, including a MediaTek Dimensity 6400, 5,200 mAh battery, 200 MP main camera and IP69. Those conflict with Motorola’s India support page, which lists Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, 7,000 mAh, a 50 MP main camera and IP64. For the current India product comparison, this article uses Motorola’s official specifications rather than combining the conflicting figures. This discrepancy is another reason to verify the model and regional listing you are considering.
