Possibly. The FTC’s expanded refund criteria cover U.S. Prime customers who signed up through certain enrollment flows—or tried and failed to cancel online—between June 23, 2019, and June 23, 2025, and used no more than 20 Prime benefits in any 12-month period. The claim-form deadline has passed, but some eligible customers may still receive automatic payments. Amazon’s account records determine individual eligibility.
Who may qualify for an Amazon Prime settlement refund?
According to the FTC’s current Amazon Refunds page, you may qualify if you meet all of these conditions:
- You were an Amazon Prime customer in the United States.
- Between June 23, 2019, and June 23, 2025, you either signed up through a challenged enrollment flow or tried to cancel through Amazon’s online cancellation flow but could not.
- After enrolling, you used no more than 20 Prime benefits in any 12-month period.
The FTC identifies the challenged signup flows as the universal Prime decision page, shipping selection page, single-page checkout, and Prime Video enrollment flow. Prime benefits include offerings such as Prime Music and Prime Video.
These public criteria do not confirm any individual account’s status. Amazon’s records are used to determine which enrollment or cancellation flow a person encountered, how many benefits they used, whether they have already been paid, and whether a payment is subject to a holdback.

Does missing the claims deadline disqualify you?
No. The deadline to submit the claims form was July 27, 2026, but missing it does not automatically rule out a payment. Under the revised order, Amazon may identify and pay certain people who meet the order’s criteria even if they did not submit a claim or submitted an invalid one. Payment is subject to factors including whether the person has already received a payment and whether a holdback applies.
The FTC says eligible consumers do not need to file another claim, respond to a notice, or complete additional forms. It says Amazon will send a check or an electronic payment through PayPal or Venmo. The FTC’s September 2026 court order sets out the payment cohorts and conditions.

How much could you receive, and when?
The settlement provides up to $1.5 billion for consumer redress and a separate $1 billion civil penalty, for a total of $2.5 billion. By September 2026, the FTC said Amazon had issued more than $845 million in redress payments.
The revised order raises the maximum total payment for an eligible person from $51 to $200, including any earlier payment. That is a ceiling, not a guaranteed amount. The FTC says eligible consumers should receive a refund by April 2027; the timing and amount of any supplemental or residual distribution depend on accepted payments and the order’s conditions.

The revised payment rounds include people in the 11-to-20-benefit group, with automatic payments for potentially eligible people in that band beginning October 1, 2026, excluding those previously paid. Some additional payments for eligible consumers with accepted prior payments may begin by April 2027 if accepted payments have not reached the relevant threshold by February 2027. The order also allows for a possible pro-rata distribution of remaining funds to people who have already accepted payments; whether that occurs and the amount depend on total accepted payments.

What if you received an earlier notice or refund?
The first payment phase used an earlier, narrower description, including a fewer-than-three-benefits criterion and a maximum payment of $51. That was a description of the initial cohort, not the current eligibility threshold. The September 2026 revised order expands the process, including to consumers who used 11 through 20 benefits. If you already received a payment, it counts toward the $200 maximum total; a later payment is not assured.
How to avoid Amazon refund scams
Use the FTC’s official Amazon Refunds page and the settlement administrator contact information listed there for questions. The FTC says it is not contacting people about these refunds. Neither the FTC nor Amazon will ask you to pay money to get a refund, so do not pay anyone who claims they can unlock or guarantee one.
