That raises about EGP 7.84 billion, or roughly $149–150 million. Reports describe it as Egypt’s largest IPO since 2021, but that ranking depends on the currency and the measure used. Subscriptions are reported to run from October 7 to October 15, 2026.

The arithmetic is consistent: 320 million shares at EGP 24.50 comes to EGP 7.84 billion.
What is actually being sold
Only the Egyptian business
The issuer is MNT Tech Holding, which represents the Egyptian operation. Arab News says the offer is for the Egyptian business. Reporting on the wider group places operations outside Egypt in the private group. Buyers of these shares would not be getting exposure to every MNT-Halan business.

A sale of existing shares
Current reports describe the offering as a sale of existing shares by the main shareholder.
The implied valuation
EnterpriseAM calculates an implied issuer valuation of about EGP 39.2 billion (roughly $750 million). It gets this by multiplying the offer price by the implied total share count. This is the outlet’s own derived estimate, not a valuation the company announced.

Don’t compare it with the $1.4 billion figure. MNT-Halan announced that number in June 2026 as the valuation of the whole group after the first close of a strategic round led by Al Ahly Capital. It is a private-round valuation of a different, broader entity.
Is it really Egypt’s biggest IPO since 2021?
That is how current coverage frames it, with caveats. Egypt Business puts e-Finance’s October 2021 public and private offering at EGP 5.84 billion. In local-currency terms, MNT Tech Holding’s EGP 7.84 billion is larger. EnterpriseAM’s wording is narrower: the biggest in dollar terms since e-Finance. The pound’s exchange rate has moved a great deal since 2021, so dollar and pound rankings can differ. Exchange-rate dates and whether you count gross proceeds also change the comparison. Treat “biggest since 2021” as a press characterization, not an official ranking.

Public versus private tranche: who can subscribe
Public tranche (48 million shares)
Thndr says its public subscription route is open to individuals and legal entities in Egypt, with a minimum order of 100 shares. At the reported price, 100 shares is EGP 2,450. Thndr’s page describes how to subscribe through its app and is not an endorsement of the investment. Other licensed brokers may offer their own routes.
Private placement (up to 272 million shares)
Thndr’s help page says private-placement orders go through EFG Hermes. Reported minimums are EGP 5 million for high-net-worth individuals and EGP 10 million for financial institutions. Eligibility definitions should be confirmed in the prospectus and with your intermediary. The private placement closes two days before the public offer, on October 13.

Practical points before subscribing
- Check which tranche you qualify for and the closing date for it.
- Confirm the final price, minimum order and allocation rules in the approved prospectus.
- Check how your broker handles funding, and how refunds work if you are allocated fewer shares than you ordered.
- Watch Egyptian Exchange notices for the trading start date. The Thndr page said none had been announced when it was prepared.
Listing obligations
In its listing statement, as reported by Egypt Business, the company said it “is obligated to satisfy all requirements and conditions prescribed regarding securities listed on the Egyptian Exchange — as well as other relevant provisions, rules, and decisions — including any additional requirements concerning the percentage of offered shares, the free-float ratio, the number of shareholders, and the company’s status.” The free-float point matters here. Only about 20% of the company is on offer, and only about 3% goes to the public tranche.
