The mirror needs to reach the central island. Keep a boulder available for the narrow gap on the western side while you arrange the other crossings; spending every boulder elsewhere can leave you without a way to transport the mirror.
Hint 3: Let the reflection handle the wide eastern gap
The guide’s reported route uses the reflection to cross the wide gap on the east. Using a boulder there would leave too few short crossings for moving the mirror.

- Bring a remaining boulder left to connect the central island to the western strip.
- Transport the mirror across to the central island and maneuver it to the eastern edge.
- Use the reflection to reach and activate the eastern exit.
