Pair it with its detachable keyboard for laptop-style use, or use its dedicated VLink DP-in port to make the tablet a portable display. MINISFORUM calls that three roles; “2-in-1” describes the tablet-and-laptop pairing, while the display-input feature adds a third use.
What the MINISFORUM V3 offers
The V3 combines a 14-inch touchscreen with a laptop-class AMD processor and integrated graphics. MINISFORUM lists the Ryzen 7 8840U at 8 cores and 16 threads, with a maximum clock of 5.1 GHz and a 28 W TDP. Graphics are handled by the integrated Radeon 780M. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent benchmark results.
The manufacturer’s specification page lists up to 32 GB of LPDDR5-6400 memory and an M.2 PCIe 2280 storage slot supporting drives up to 2 TB. The exact memory and storage fitted depend on the configuration being sold.
Display and pen support
MINISFORUM specifies a 14-inch touchscreen with a 2560 × 1600 resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate. It also claims 100% P3 color-gamut coverage. The figures are published specifications; they do not establish independently measured brightness, color accuracy, or real-world performance.

Three ways to use the V3
As a tablet
Run Windows 11 Pro on the touchscreen for handheld use, handwritten notes, drawing, or classes. These are plausible uses for its touch and pen features, not a guarantee of performance in every app or workflow.
As a laptop
Attach the detachable V3 keyboard for a laptop-style setup. Keyboard availability and what comes in the box can depend on the particular regional listing or bundle, so verify the contents before ordering.
As a portable display
The dedicated VLink USB-C port accepts video input, allowing the V3 to act as an external display for another host device. MINISFORUM describes potential sources including computers, cameras, and consoles. This is video input, not ordinary USB-C video output: do not assume that either of the V3’s two full-function USB4 ports accepts incoming video.

MINISFORUM lists two full-function USB4 ports, one USB-C VLink DP-in port, a UHS-II SD card reader, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. The listed power adapter is 65 W USB Power Delivery. Check the manufacturer’s V3 technical specifications for the port descriptions and supported configurations.

V3 vs. V3 SE: check the exact variant
MINISFORUM’s store presents the V3 and V3 SE as separate products, not interchangeable names for one configuration. The listed choices differ in processor and memory:
| Variant shown in MINISFORUM’s listing | Processor | Memory and storage selection shown |
|---|---|---|
| V3 | Ryzen 7 8840U | 32 GB RAM / 1 TB SSD |
| V3 SE | Ryzen 7 7735U | 16 GB RAM / 1 TB SSD |
Those are selections displayed on the manufacturer’s regional product listing, not a guarantee of current stock or a complete list of configurations. Price, availability, bundle contents, and shipping can vary by region and change over time. Confirm the processor, memory, storage, keyboard, and stylus details on the listing for your location before buying.

MINISFORUM’s own scenario article identifies battery life as an area that may need further optimization. The cited manufacturer materials do not provide a verified runtime figure or an independent battery test, so there is no sound basis here for estimating how long the V3 lasts away from an outlet.
The company proposes the V3 for design, video editing, gaming, and mobile office work. It says simple 4K editing is possible in a 32 GB/1 TB configuration and that the Radeon 780M can run many modern games smoothly, but these are manufacturer statements rather than independently tested results. For demanding work or gaming, look for reviews that test the exact configuration and workload you care about.
Release context
MINISFORUM says the V3 launch event took place on March 29, 2024, in an article published April 29, 2024. Its positioning of the device as cost-effective is the manufacturer’s characterization, not an independent price comparison. See the company’s V3 use-case article for its descriptions of the device’s intended roles.
Quick Recap
What to check before choosing one
- Confirm that the listing is for the V3 with the Ryzen 7 8840U if that is the processor you want; the V3 SE is a distinct variant.
- Verify the included memory, SSD, detachable keyboard, and stylus for the exact regional bundle.
- If you need display input, confirm the listing and documentation identify the dedicated VLink DP-in port.
- For mobile use, seek an independent battery test under workloads similar to yours; the manufacturer materials cited here do not establish runtime.
- When comparing it with other tablets or convertibles, compare like configurations, display and pen support, included accessories, input/output ports, tested battery life, regional price, and warranty.
