Microsoft appointed Tosca Colangeli, then president of Kyndryl’s UK and Ireland business, as its UK solutions leader, according to ITPro’s report published 11 January 2023. The role covered solutions strategy across Microsoft’s Modern Work, Azure, Dynamics and Surface portfolio, alongside collaboration with customers and industry partners. The report confirms the appointment and its remit at that time; it does not establish whether Colangeli still held the role in October 2026.
Who is Tosca Colangeli?
Before joining Microsoft, Colangeli led Kyndryl’s UK and Ireland business as its president, a position she had held since that business began. Kyndryl is an IT infrastructure services provider that separated from IBM.
Colangeli had spent 21 years at IBM before Kyndryl. Her roles there included general manager of global technology services for the UK and Ireland, according to ITPro’s 11 January 2023 report.
What was she hired to lead?
Microsoft’s reported remit for Colangeli was to lead UK solutions strategy across its cloud portfolio. The areas named were:

The role also involved working with customers and industry partners. The report described a broad solutions-leadership remit; it did not specify individual targets, changes to product strategy or particular customer outcomes.
Why did the appointment draw attention?
Colangeli moved from Kyndryl to Microsoft while the companies already had a strategic partnership. They announced that partnership in November 2021, after Kyndryl separated from IBM. Their work included connecting mainframe data with Microsoft Power Platform and an integrated hybrid-cloud offering that combined Kyndryl managed services, Microsoft Azure software and Dell infrastructure.

- With 16 GB of memory, runs as many programs as you want without losing the execution
- The 13.5" 2256 x 1504 screen provides a great movie watching experience
- 512 GB SSD is enough to store your essential documents and files, favorite songs, movies and pictures

That background helps explain the interest in a senior move between the organizations. It does not, by itself, show that the appointment changed their partnership or produced new commercial results.
What did Microsoft and Colangeli say?
Microsoft UK CEO Clare Barclay welcomed Colangeli’s leadership and solutions experience, saying: “She brings a depth of leadership and solutions capability, as well as a passion for helping customers digitise and transform.”

ITPro’s report is dated 11 January 2023. It documents Colangeli’s appointment and the responsibilities described when she joined, but does not establish her later employment status or subsequent organizational changes. It is therefore accurate to describe her as Microsoft’s UK solutions leader at the time of the announcement, not to assume that remains her current title.
