Pocket Gamer’s Metria tier list, updated October 5, 2026 for version 6.1.0, ranks characters and variants in S, A, and B tiers. It adds [Green Hammer Knight] Popodero and [Purple Piercer Knight] Zescole. These are Pocket Gamer’s experience-based judgments, not official or statistically measured power rankings. Because character variants can change a character’s element and playstyle, check the full variant name rather than relying on the base character alone.
Metria character tier list
The placements below preserve the names and tier assignments shown in Pocket Gamer’s list. Some names appear more than once, and some entries have incomplete or inconsistent labels; this is not a deduplicated ranking of base characters.

What the tier placements mean
Pocket Gamer describes Metria as an action-focused game where players switch characters during fast battles and rely on spacing, dodging, damage, and skill use. The publication limits its list to S through B because it considers the roster small and says it found no outright bad characters. That framing matters: a B placement is not presented as a verdict that a character is unusable.
The list is editorial rather than quantitative. It does not supply win rates, measured damage rankings, or a formal scoring system, so treat the tiers as a starting point for choosing a team rather than a precise comparison of performance.

How to compare characters beyond their tier
Pocket Gamer’s explanations point to several practical differences that can matter more than a tier label in a particular team or fight:
- Range and debuffs: Aru is praised for ranged attacks, stats, and early availability. Shash also attacks at range and can apply debuffs that help a melee teammate after a character switch.
- Ease of use: Rio is described as intuitive and easy to learn, even though Pocket Gamer considers his stats unremarkable.
- Role and matchup: Pocket Gamer describes Lunaria as the game’s only magic user. That offers a different style from the more consistent melee and ranged patterns in the article’s account; check the roster in-game if it has changed.
- Melee debuffing: Zescole is described as a melee debuffer with good stats, able to exploit debuffs at close range.
- Damage, durability, and speed: Popodero is characterized as slower and suited to players who prioritize damage and durability. Begius is described as defensive and durable.
Why character variants need separate consideration
Pocket Gamer notes that SSR versions can change both playstyle and element, rather than simply changing a character’s appearance. Its example is Solid Aqua Shield Begius, which changes to water. Where variants have different kits, consider them separate build choices and use the exact version name when checking a placement.
Elemental matchups also affect damage. Tarot cards occupy upgrade slots and may provide character- or affinity-specific boosts, so a character’s performance can depend on the matchup and upgrades as well as the tier list.

Version and current availability
The ranking is for version 6.1.0 and was updated October 5, 2026. Asobimo’s official news page lists October 1, 2026 notices about Popodero and Zescole, their Limit Break update, and a Wind Element SSR character select gacha. The notices establish that these announcements were made, not that the gacha or any offer is still available; check the live game for current banner availability.

Names to verify in-game
Pocket Gamer’s list has entries with inconsistent spelling or formatting, including “Zescole” and “Zescol,” as well as “Bel” and “Bell.” It also includes some names without a full variant label. The list above retains those distinctions rather than guessing which entries refer to the same character. Check the live game or official character notices when a precise variant name matters.
