Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIf Meta Muse is not working on your iPad, first check which app you installed. Meta’s AI agent app is listed in the US App Store as “Only for iPhone”, so an iPad compatibility problem is not something ordinary troubleshooting can fix. A similarly named brain-health app from InteraXon does support iPad; the steps depend on which one you mean.
Check that you have the Meta app
Search results can surface two different apps called Muse. Compare the developer and purpose in the App Store before trying fixes:
| App | Developer and purpose | Listed compatibility |
|---|---|---|
| Muse from Meta | Meta Platforms, Inc.; a personal AI agent for answering questions and completing tasks. | The current US App Store listing says “Only for iPhone” and requires iOS 18.0 or later. |
| Muse: Brain Health & Sleep | InteraXon; a brain-health and sleep app. | Its App Store listing says it supports iPadOS 16.1 or later. |
Meta describes its agent as available through the Muse app or WhatsApp. Its product page says, “Chat with your Muse in the same way you message with other people, using the Muse app or directly in WhatsApp.” See Meta’s Muse product page.
If you are trying to use Meta Muse on an iPad
The US App Store listing’s “Only for iPhone” label is the key check. It does not list iPad as a supported device, and its iOS 18.0 requirement does not establish iPad compatibility. If you are on an iPad, reinstalling the app or changing iPad settings will not make the iPhone-only listing into an iPad-supported app. Recheck the live listing for current compatibility details, since App Store information can change.

If Meta Muse fails on a supported iPhone
If you are using an iPhone that meets the listing’s iOS requirement and Muse crashes, freezes, or will not open, use Apple’s general app troubleshooting guidance: If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open. Those steps address app behavior on a supported device; they do not override Meta’s iPhone-only compatibility label.

What to provide when the cause is unclear
The app name alone is not enough to identify why a particular problem is happening. To narrow it down, note:
- Your device model and whether it is an iPhone or iPad.
- The app’s full name and developer as shown in the App Store.
- What happens when you open or use it—for example, whether it will not install, crashes, freezes, or displays an error.
- The exact wording of any error message.
Without those details, it is not possible to determine whether an individual failure relates to an account, region, network, service outage, or iPadOS issue.
