Those dates were plans, not later confirmation that every site opened on schedule. Since then, Meta’s former Fifth Avenue pop-up site became a permanent flagship, and Best Buy began adding Meta Lab demo spaces in 2026.
What Meta announced for the 2025 holiday season
TechJuice reported that Meta planned to give shoppers hands-on access to its products ahead of the holidays. Its list included three new or expanded experiences and one existing store:
| Location | Format reported in 2025 | Planned date |
|---|---|---|
| Wynn Las Vegas, Las Vegas | Pop-up | October 16, 2025 |
| Melrose, Los Angeles | Expanded flagship | Reopening October 24, 2025 |
| Fifth Avenue, New York | Pop-up | November 13, 2025 |
| Burlingame, California | Existing Meta Lab, remaining open | No new opening date reported |
These are dates and descriptions reported by TechJuice in September 2025; the source does not independently establish that each planned opening or reopening occurred as scheduled. The headline’s “four new” framing is therefore imprecise: Burlingame was already open, and Los Angeles was described as an expansion.
What visitors could try
The 2025 announcement listed Ray-Ban Meta Display glasses, the Neural Band wrist controller, and Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S headsets as products visitors could explore. It presented Meta Lab as a hands-on retail experience, but did not give detailed specifications or establish current availability for those named products.

Where to try Meta products now
Best Buy Meta Lab spaces
In a June 8, 2026 announcement, Best Buy said Meta Lab @ Best Buy would launch in more than 50 stores nationwide starting that month, with further rollout during the summer. The roughly 900-square-foot spaces were described as offering interactive demos, smart mirrors, personalized fittings and dedicated Meta Sales Specialists. Products listed included Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses, Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses, Oakley Meta, and Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S headsets.
Best Buy also said that more than 50% of its customers want to see Meta’s AI glasses in person before buying. That is Best Buy’s customer figure, as stated in its announcement; the excerpt does not provide the survey method or sample size, so it should not be read as a general-population estimate.

New York Fifth Avenue flagship
The New York pop-up’s site at 697 Fifth Avenue later became a permanent flagship. Vornado announced on March 18, 2026, that Meta had signed a 10-year lease for the full five-level, 15,000-square-foot townhouse beside the St. Regis Hotel.
Additional standalone stores reported in September 2026
Modern Retail reported on September 14, 2026, that Meta Lab planned six more standalone stores in the coming months: Houston, Atlanta, San Diego, Chicago, Scottsdale and Moynihan Station in New York. The publication reported Houston opened on September 10. The other five were plans in that report, not confirmed openings.

Choosing a place to visit
If you want to try AI glasses or a Quest headset, Best Buy’s announced shop-in-shop format is a practical option to look for because it specifically lists both categories and describes staff-supported demos and fittings. Meta’s standalone stores offer a different format; the cited September 2026 report confirms Houston’s opening and identifies five other planned locations, but does not establish their opening status. For a visit to any specific store, check its current location listing and operating hours before traveling.
