If Phoenix Cyclops is missing before November 2, 2026, that is expected: the announced release date is November 2, and the Year 1 DLC characters become accessible upon release. On or after that date, check that you own the Year 1 Character and Stage Pass or an eligible edition, then verify the purchase and add-on on the account and platform you use. The PS5 steps below do not apply to Steam or Epic.
Check whether Phoenix Cyclops has been released
Phoenix Cyclops is the first additional Year 1 character. PlayStation’s October 7, 2026 announcement lists November 2, 2026, as his arrival date. The game FAQ says pass characters become accessible upon their respective releases, so buying the pass early does not unlock a character before its release. If you are checking before November 2, wait for the release rather than reinstalling the game or contacting support just because Phoenix Cyclops is absent. If he is still unavailable on or after the announced date, work through the entitlement and platform checks below.
Confirm that your purchase includes the DLC
The Year 1 Character and Stage Pass includes four additional characters and one additional stage, with each made accessible upon release. It also includes battle-result poses for the 20-character launch roster, which the FAQ says are available upon purchase. - Check your purchase history or transaction record to verify that you bought the Year 1 Character and Stage Pass, rather than only the base game.
- Make sure you are signed in to the PlayStation account that made the purchase. A purchase on another account may not appear as owned on the account you are using.
- If you own a physical PS5 Standard Edition, do not assume it includes Year 1 DLC. The FAQ says Standard Edition owners can purchase a Digital Deluxe or Ultimate upgrade from the PlayStation Store and access the added content once downloaded.
Find the add-on on PS5
After confirming the release date and entitlement, check the game’s Add-Ons section in your PS5 library. PlayStation documents this route for locating and downloading owned add-ons:
- Open Game Library from the PS5 home screen.
- Select Your Collection, then choose MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls.
- Scroll to Add-Ons and select the relevant owned item to check whether it is downloaded or still needs to be downloaded.
You can also check the game’s Add-Ons section in the PlayStation App library. The game FAQ establishes the pass contents and release timing, but does not say that Phoenix Cyclops must appear as a separate, individually selectable store download. PlayStation add-on troubleshooting

Restore a missing PS5 entitlement or installation
If the purchase is confirmed but the add-on is missing or not working, try these steps in order. PlayStation says restoring licenses can help when an add-on cannot be located and does not affect user data.
- Restart the PS5, then check the game’s Add-Ons section again.
- Restore licenses: open Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses, select the relevant game if prompted, and follow the on-screen steps.
- If the release date, purchase, account, download, and license checks have not resolved the issue, consider deleting and reinstalling the game. PlayStation lists reinstalling as a later troubleshooting option, not the first step.

Check disc and account regions if you use a physical PS5 copy
PlayStation says a disc’s licensed country or region should match the region of the PlayStation account for DLC compatibility. Compare those regions if you use a disc and the add-on still does not work. Use the right troubleshooting path on PC
The game FAQ lists Steam and Epic as PC platforms, but the PS5 library menus and license-restoration path above are not PC instructions. On PC, verify ownership and the DLC status in the storefront where you purchased the game, then use that storefront’s support if the entitlement or download is missing. No game-specific Steam or Epic recovery procedure is established here. If the purchase and platform checks are complete but Phoenix Cyclops remains unavailable on or after the announced release date, the game FAQ points players to its bug-report form and the dedicated Discord bug-reports channel. Use PlayStation Support for account, purchase, or download problems; use the game’s channels to report a suspected game bug. The FAQ does not promise a response time or a fix.
