For Season 10, which began September 11, 2026, the confirmed Gold-tier ranked costume is Gorr the God Butcher – Gods’ Graveyard. Some details—especially the full current ladder, exact point gains and losses, and reward eligibility—are not confirmed in the official Season 10 notes, so check the in-game ranked and reward screens for the rules currently in effect.
How Marvel Rivals ranked placements work
According to the official Season 5 patch notes, players complete 10 ranked matches as placements. During those matches, the game displays a predicted rank used for matchmaking. It is provisional: the game assigns the actual rank after the full set of 10 matches. Players who do not finish placements do not receive that season’s ranked rewards under the Season 5 rules.
Those placement and reward details are documented for Season 5, not confirmed as unchanged in Season 10. Treat the current in-game ranked screen and reward preview as the authority for the active season.
How you rank up after placements
Competitive points are adjusted as you play ranked, but the official Season 10 notes reviewed do not give a complete formula for ordinary match wins and losses. That means there is no verified Season 10 fixed point gain per win or fixed deduction per loss to rely on here; use the points shown in-game rather than assuming every result changes your score by a set amount.

Placement point adjustment: a dated rule
The official Season 7 patch notes, published March 18, 2026, documented an adjustment of -100 to +100 Competitive points after the 10 placement matches, based on personal results and tier. The Season 10 notes reviewed do not confirm that this adjustment remains in effect, so do not treat that range as the current Season 10 placement formula.
Point restoration after confirmed malicious throwing
In an official announcement on March 9, 2026, the publisher said: “If your match loss and point deduction were caused by a teammate’s confirmed malicious behavior, the system will automatically restore lost points.” The announcement also says the player receives an in-game mail notification when compensation is issued. This is a remedy for confirmed malicious behavior, not a general guarantee that points lost in any match will be returned. See the anti-throwing announcement.

What are the ranks in Marvel Rivals?
A secondary reference lists the ladder as Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Grandmaster, Celestial, Eternity, and One Above All. The official Season 10 source reviewed does not enumerate the tiers, so this list is not independently confirmed as the current ladder. Check the live in-game ranked interface for the tier names and any current subdivisions before using it as a definitive Season 10 list.
What are the Season 10 ranked rewards?
Season 10 began September 11, 2026. Its official patch notes identify Gorr the God Butcher – Gods’ Graveyard as the Gold-tier costume reward. The notes reviewed do not establish all current eligibility conditions, so consult the in-game reward preview for the rank required, deadline, and any match-completion requirement.

For context, the official Season 5 notes described a costume for each half-season and required 10 ranked matches in that half plus a finish at Gold or above at the half-season end. They also tied season-end rewards to completed placements and the required final rank. Those are Season 5 rules, not proof that the same conditions apply to Season 10. The Season 10 patch notes are the current official reference for the confirmed costume.

Do not confuse the Gold-tier ranked costume with Marvel Rivals Championship (MRC) tournament rewards. Season 10 notes describe Units and exclusive loot for factions that participate in Open Qualifiers and complete at least six matches. That is a faction tournament reward path, separate from the ordinary ranked ladder and its Gold-tier costume.
