Mamiya Leaf announced the Leaf Credo 50 on September 8, 2014: a 50-megapixel CMOS digital back for medium-format camera systems. Its launch specifications included ISO 100–6400, live view, exposures of up to one hour and a manufacturer-claimed 14 stops of dynamic range. It is a camera back, not a conventional self-contained DSLR.
What the Leaf Credo 50 is
The Credo 50 is a digital back that records images through a compatible medium-format camera system. Mamiya Leaf’s 2014 announcement positioned it around a 50-megapixel CMOS sensor and a workflow that could show live view on the back’s screen or on a connected computer running Capture One software. The launch announcement and its performance figures are reproduced at Luminous Landscape.

That is family-level launch-era information, not a guarantee that every body or mount in those families works. Confirm the exact body, mount and back configuration before relying on compatibility.

The specifications describe the product as presented at launch. In particular, the 14-stop dynamic-range figure and other performance details should be understood as manufacturer claims, not independent test findings. The cited launch coverage also does not establish how a used Credo 50 performs today, whether a particular unit is supported, or what condition or price to expect on the resale market.
