Malwarebytes described Anti-Exploit in Free, Premium, and Business editions when it launched in 2014, but those historical differences do not establish what a new user can buy or install today. Malwarebytes’ lifecycle table lists version 1.13.1.400 as Active, with a general-availability date of 26 July 2021; that label alone does not confirm current sales, support for new installations, or ongoing maintenance.
Are Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit Free, Premium, and Business editions available now?
Current standalone availability and edition terms are not established by the available official information. The lifecycle table marks version 1.13.1.400 “Active,” but Malwarebytes defines end-of-life releases as no longer supported or maintained; the Active label does not itself say whether the product is still sold, maintained today, or available for new installations. Malwarebytes lists an Anti-Exploit User Guide as a PDF with an update date of 24 April 2026. A current guide listing is not proof that the standalone software is currently distributed or supported. The cited official materials also do not establish present-day operating-system support or current Free, Premium, and Business terms. The historical comparisons below describe what Malwarebytes said at the time, not a current offer.
How did the three editions differ in 2014?
Malwarebytes’ 12 June 2014 launch announcement framed the editions by protection scope and intended user. Its descriptions are useful for understanding the product’s history, but should not be treated as current feature or licensing claims.

These details come from Malwarebytes’ 12 June 2014 launch announcement and its Anti-Exploit 1.03.1.1220 release notes from the same date. The announcement also described the product as the result of a year in beta development; that is company-reported development history, not a performance or effectiveness result.
Why the edition boundaries are not timeless
The release history shows that the Free and Premium feature boundary changed. In the 12 June 2014 notes, Malwarebytes said Premium included all shields and custom-shield management. Notes for version 1.10.1.41, released 12 October 2017, said Premium shields and custom shields were opened to Free users as part of the beta. That change makes it inaccurate to present the 2014 division as a permanent rule.

See the official 1.10.1.41 release notes. The change is specific to that historical beta release; it does not establish which features are available in any edition now.
What the lifecycle status tells you—and what it does not
The lifecycle table’s highest listed release is 1.13.1.400, marked Active with a general-availability date of 26 July 2021. The same table labels older releases Legacy after end of life, which Malwarebytes defines as no longer supported or maintained. These are release-history facts, not a confirmation of the product’s current commercial or support status in 2026.
